“We absolutely love this restaurant! We always have a dinner at The Steakhouse when in Galveston. It NEVER disappoints. Our recent experience took it even a level above, everything was outstanding. They currently have sushi which was amazing. The steak is always delicious as well as the french onion soup and the sides (mashed potatoes and broccolini). This is the first time we had the truffle main lobster with the steak...yum! Service excellent as always! Definitely recommend!!“

“A truly great meal with excellent service. Lovely view of Galveston while enjoying fine dining. We had the escargot and steak tartare as appetizers. Both were wonderful. I had the filet steak and my wife enjoyed the lobster as our main courses. The service was impressive. A true treat.“

“I had a totally different experience from past reviews. The food was fresh and hot upon serving, we had the Cilantro lime salmon, 8oz sirloin surf and turf, spinach dip and banana pudding. Service time and staff were very pleasant. We also got a caesar salad but the croutons were stale.“

“We stayed in Texas City to avoid the crowds in Galveston and the inevitable long wait to get a table in a restaurant.Gus was a comfortable restaurant, good service, GREAT food for a reasonable price. I had the blackened catfish, she had the fried. Both were excellent!“
