“The best place in Texas City, I am so grateful for trying this place out. I've been so many times and if not in person I've ordered plenty of times through the phone. Ive gone here through sickness and health 😂. I recently got pregnant and I was ordering here for weeks theyre Pho is just that amazing and was the only thing passing my nausea. No one nearby can top this place and trust me I've looked because at one point they were closed for a couple weeks and I was devastated. I'm so happy theyre back. Please please please try it out for yourselves.“

“Fast service and snacks were 10/10! So many options and perfect for a Sunday treat. We drove 20 minutes based on the reviews and they didn’t disappoint. Pikadily was the BEST! We also tried the elote and frito pie - all was super fresh and all the to-go was packed perfectly. We will be back!“

“Aaron C was our very polite & proficient server. Mom & I had house red wine, soup & salad, which Aaron tossed for us. We had tiramasu & Irish coffee for dessert. The food, atmosphere, & service was excellent!

“Stopped at this place in a whim for lunch while in town on business and it was fantastic! Best Catfish and Shrimp i’ve had on the island! It’s a little storefront place, very non assuming, but I’m telling you don’t miss this place!! The sweet tea was delicious as well!“

“Got a pizza for New Year’s Eve dinner. We asked for a twist to our sauce, we have always loved a Rosa sauce, half red and half Alfredo on our pizza. PAPA’S delivered one of the best pizzas I’ve had in a long time. The blend of the sauce was amazing and the toppings we chose were awesome. Thank you for giving us exactly what we wanted and for being the best pizza place on the island.“

“Vulnerable moment: Since being diagnosed with gastritis, my health and diet has been turned upside down. Making plans in advance is impossible because I never know how sick i will be. I spend most of the day silently in pain and finding appetizing things to eat that wont irritate my stomach has been a battle I’ve kind of given up on until we figure out how I got gastritis and heal. Having to go spice, additive, dairy, gluten, and (mostly) sugar free to fight the inflammation, I’ve had to handmake everything down to my own sandwich bread. It was SO nice to feel a bit of normalcy today, be able to order from a menu without asking for crazy accommodations, and to have something actually amazing tasting. My love language is now their snickerdoodles and coffee cake! While I hope my illness is temporary, I will be forever thankful for this bakery and what they did for me today! ❤️🍪“

“I’m not the one to leave comments but I had to for this experience. Hands DOWN the BEST FOOD AND SERVICE I have every had . I drove by this place for years and never knew that I was missing out on ALOT . I was missing the down home Louisiana cooking and the friendliest of the staff .Including the owner . It reminded me of home . If you need a reason to go this is it . You will not be disappointed. My stomach and soul was full !!!!“

“Wonderful little restaurant in the Dickinson area! My husband and I shared the hunan shrimp and sesame chicken lunch special which came with the best wonton soup. The shrimp was perfectly cooked and the right temperature. My 2 year old daughter loved the sesame chicken and egg rolls. Our waitress was very friendly and the food came out quick! This has become a favorite regular spot for us and we’re going to miss it when we move out of state next month!“

“My mom took me to lunch here today. it wasn't great at all. For a starter, the cheese sticks were so MASSIVE that the cheese didn't melt before the crust browned. I ordered chicken fried steak and garlic mashed potatoes with cream gravy. The cream gravy was like water and had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. The garlic mashed potatoes were awful and gummy, artificial to say the least. My mother ordered fried shrimp and mashed potatoes. The fried shrimp came out with the "crust" white and semi-fried. Very strange. Also, these meals only came with one side, no vegetable option without it being an add on. These meals were $18.99 and $20.99 each! We were very underwhelmed for the price of these entrees. They DO NOT offer a lunch menu either. We will not be back.“

“We all got the Red Snapper special. Two of us got it gluten-free & for some reason our fish was dry. The others were happy with the regular version. It was great to have the delicious gluten-free garlic bread option. The Lemon Basil Salad dressing is outstanding!! Bought a jar to take home with us. Daisy, our server was wonderful, as were all the staff who took care of us from the minute we walked in the door. Pomodoro's (this location) is one of our favorite places to eat. The food is consistently good, the atmosphere is nice & quiet and the staff make sure you have a great experience!“

“A family run place a little away from the touristy parts of Galveston that serves excellent pho.
The house pho was very good. Fresh, piping hot, with good portions of all kinds of meat, in just the right kind of broth. Call it comfort food, or just plain filling, it ticks all the right boxes. We also ordered a plate of fried rice, which too was good, though not exceptional.
Service was fast and friendly in a South East Asian kind of way, which is to say don't expect much of a conversion, but you will get what you need with minimum fuss.
Prices are reasonable. The location is a bit of the grittier side of town, so the place closes at 8 pm with last order at 7.30pm. The inside is clean and bright.“

“I have been eating here for so many years. The Best Catfish in the Greater Houston/Galveston area. I have since moved away from Dickinson, but I come to see Ms. Lily once a month and still get the "All You Can Eat Catfish." A MUST when in the area or traveling to Galveston. 5 stars all the way...they treat you like family.“

“This was our first time trying Freebirds and it was a great experience. Dom was very welcoming and helpful walking me and my husband through the whole process and answering our questions. The food was hot and fresh and the vibe was just right. Thank you Dom for making our first visit awesome we’ll definitely be back soon! 😊“
