“This food is DELICIOUS! You can’t go wrong anywhere on the menu, and the sauces are amazing, do not pass them up! Excellent tortillas, and the Samosas are perfectly fluffy. Indian + Mexican is the fusion everyone needs, and the service is lovely, I’m so glad this has come to oak hill!”

“Made a quick stop for some sweet tea and had to try the Mac n cheese and a slice of the banana cream pie. Mac n cheese was amazing and then I tried the pie… 10/10. Phenomenal! Can’t wait to come back and try everything else!”

“We came to Austin from Houston with my family for the day and found this cafe while exploring the city. Honestly, I’m really glad we stopped here.
The place has such a nice and relaxing atmosphere. Everything we tried was really good, the service was friendly, and we just felt comfortable sitting here and taking a break after walking around Austin. Even my family really enjoyed the place.
We don’t live in Austin, so unfortunately we can’t come here often, but this is definitely one of those places I’ll remember and come back to next time we’re in town.
Really enjoyed it. Highly recommend if you’re visiting Austin or just looking for a nice cafe! ☕”

“Utterly fantastic food! Five stars! Wonderful service! Very professional! Place sounds like a sawmill in a football stadium. Loud as he'll and unapologetic about it. But, the decor is really cool and nice. Looks great but you'll spend you whole meal yelling at your date to be heard.”

“Margarita was okay but let's talk about the food😋 Talk about made in Mexico!!! No TexMex amalgamation here. It's the team deal. The puerc pibil (pork, onion, spices wrapped in a banana leaf and tied with a corn husk string) is to die for. The fresh oregano stands out. the rice is okay but the black beans were the best that I've had this side of Miami. I'm gonna have to go back. Happy, happy, happy”

“I have been looking forward to trying Abby Jane, grain to table makes me so happy. We bought a donut, almond monkey bread, chocolate babka, and a sourdough loaf (pan). The pastries were amazing, it was 2:40pm and the donut was incredibly soft. The almond monkey bread was just sweet enough and I will be buying my sandwhich bread from them. My only issue was the chocolate babka was a bit dry and burned on the edges.”

“My wife and I travel frequently to Austin and have for a number of years. With two of our children here, we have dined out at many of Austin's finest restaurants. I am a partner in a number of businesses in Sonoma County, California, including golf courses, theaters and a restaurant. I am rarely motivated to write a restaurant review, particularly a glowing review. My wife found Oz. Tap House online and it was very close to our hotel. My personal experience with tap houses is that they have great beer, but mediocre food and generally less than mediocre service. I went online and looked at the menu, still not particularly enthusiastic. But I decided to place a dinner order for my wife and I and was immediately blown away by the online ordering system. Virtually every menu item can be custom ordered in a dizzying variety of ways. I even remarked to my wife that it was the finest online ordering software that I had ever seen. But ordering is one thing and execution is another. My wife ordered the Oz. House Burger (Beef), cooked medium, substituting lettuce wrap for the bun and adding avocado with a small avocado jalapeno side salad. Again, the customization options were many. I ordered the Charcuterie Pretzel and a Side Caesar Salad, with no croutons. I knew the restaurant was only a couple of minute drive, but even then the speed of the announcement of the projected pickup time and the time itself was amazing; less than 15 minutes. When I picked up the meals at curbside, I told the waitress how impressed I had been with the online ordering system and she thanked me and told me she would have to tell her husband. Turns out Krista and her husband, Sean, own and operate the restaurant. I had assumed with the level of sophistication that it must be a franchise or chain, but no, Oz. is a true mom and pop restaurant. When leaving I told Krista that the proof would be in (i) whether the delivered food matched the order and (ii) the quality of the food. I had barely started eating when my wife announced that her salad was spectacular and the burger one of the best she had ever had. My meal was every bit as impressive. Again, uncharacteristically for me, I called Krista (even though the restaurant was hopping and I knew she was busy), just to tell her that the food was as good or better than the service. This is as advertised: true farm-to-market fare, exceedingly fresh, expertly prepared as ordered and quickly delivered. Yes, Oz. may not have McDonald's prices, but it has infinitely superior food, expertly prepared and efficiently delivered. We admittedly didn't even try what was probably the standout feature of the restaurant: the beer. I assume if the restaurant part of the tap house was spectacular, the beer side of it must be even more so. Next time. Do yourself a favor and try the Oz. Tap House. My very best wishes to Krista and Sean on a very successful business in a tough industry.”

“Dolce Bacio Gelato was such a hit at our wedding! Everyone loved it, the gelato was absolutely delicious, super creamy, and the perfect treat for a warm wedding night. They had so many amazing flavors that our guests couldn’t stop going back for more! The setup was beautiful, the service was friendly and professional, and it added such a fun, unique touch to reception. Huge thank you to the Dolce Bacio Gelato team for making our night extra sweet, we can’t recommend them enough!!!”
“Beerburg Brewery is like going to a good friend's house for dinner. A relaxed atmosphere that is not trendy. Always welcomed with a smile. Not to mention a fun little 9 basket disc golf course that is more technical than long. Come by enough times and the staff remembers your name. That's always a good feeling to be welcomed like a friend. The beers are changed from time to time so it like going to a new bar and tasting something new without going to a new bar to try something new. Plus, all of the beer ingredients are native and harvested in Texas.”

“Super fun outdoor patio with live music. Outdoor area is shaded with trees and has misters, so it felt nice even on a 98 degree afternoon. Great beer! Great staff! Wednesday is steak and HUGE baked potatoe night. Steak is grilled to order and DELICIOUS! If I remember correctly it was $28 and includes a free drink ticket! Great find!”

“When I saw this place call itself an Izakaya I came with high hopes, as when I was in Japan our home was very near an amazing Izakaya and a Yakatori restaurant that we went to under our train station in Osaka.
This place is a little different than what I was hoping for/expecting
The food was ok, the menu has a lot. But it was more of a sushi place with some Izakaya/Yakatori mainstays
I was hoping for Tsukune, tebaski, sunagimo in addition to the kaarage and tonkatsu
So to focus on what I did have:
Tonkatsu: was pretty good came on a plate with the pork cutlet and lightly topped with tonkatsu sauce with some partly fried potatoes and a couple slices of cucumber and tomato, the pork was cooked well and was juicy, the breading was not quite crunchy, not sure if they use shokupan or if it's a freshness issue, the breading did easily separate from the pork
I also ordered chicken yakatori and pork Yakatori, they came on a plate with lemons and shredded cabbage
The chicken was cooked well, the sauce they used (tare?) was flavorful and I enjoyed them, a tad well done
I did not enjoy the pork, it was tough and dry
I also ordered some unagi sashimi, which came with some ginger and wasabi (a bit milder and sweeter than I expected)
The unagi was cooked well and served warm and was very tasty
I would like to come back and try the Una don or katsu don, a table next to us ordered it and it looked really good, will update if I try it again.
Thanks”

“I saw The Shore on my Google map and clicked on the link. I saw their Happy Hour Menu and noticed they had 1/2 price Oysters and several other choices. We decided to stop there on our way back home. We got there at 3:30 and found that they would not open until 4 pm due to an earlier water leak. We asked if we could just sit at the bar until they opened because we really wanted to have oysters for our anniversary. The manager said since we were wanting oysters we could sit at the bar and get drinks and the oysters. Chef Cody explained all the different oysters offered and we decided to let him choose the oysters and we were not disappointed . He chose the gulf coast, summer time, Black moon and pink moon. All the options were fresh tasting with just a touch of saltiness . We also had the mussels with fries. We have not had mussels this good in a very long time. the broth was thick with butter, wine and capers. The grilled ciabatta bread was so buttery and crispy we ordered additional pieces. The calamari was lightly breaded rings and tentacles and were heavenly. We also tried the Hi Mexican Lager on tap, it was light and smooth. Our bartender was very sweet and helpful with our choices. We also would like to thank the manager who being so accommodating to us and making our 42nd anniversary so special. We will definitely stop there again!!!!!”
