Friendly and helpful with menu and very attentive to us and our needs. Food was excellent. Dessert Bananna pudding and Blackberry cobbler Ala mode. We will go back every time we are in Houston. “My first visit to Craft Grill impressed me! My daughter had recommended it so I took her there for an early dinner. Because the weather was good, we dined outside. I tried the shrimp and grits to compare it to what I make myself at home. It was an interesting change using gouda instead of cheddar which gives it a very different flavor that I found good. Their appetizer, a mixed sampler, was also quite good.
Overall, I was quite impressed and look forward to trying something else the next time I go there. BTW, the wait staff was also very helpful even considering he had had to deal with a food allergy reaction at another table he was serving.“

“Best location and greatest staff! I had a huge event recently that required pickup before opening hours. They were accommadating and helped load the car. The chicken salad was a huge hit for the event. It was refreshing and delicious! Love going in here. They make me feel like they know me personally.“

“As a customer to their restaurant before we already knew how amazing their food was and knew it would be a big hit at our wedding because of their reputation for it! Communication with Jeff, the owner, was always great, even with the several menu changes I made, he was super accommodating! The day of we hit a small snag, and some of the food was not delivered on time but they were VERY quick to fix the problem and had the rest of it delivered as fast as possible. The catering manager Tammy was also so kind and easy to communicate with. I realize things happen and I am not faulting them at all for the mixup with the food, because let me tell you, it was and always will be worth the wait! Guests who have never had Mel’s were RAVING about the food and guests that have had it before were so pleased! Everything tasted amazing and I’m so thankful we used them! The chicken fried steak and chicken Vera Cruz - chefs kiss! Highly recommend them for your catering needs!!“

“We had Uncle Bob’s Barbecue cater our daughter’s wedding at The Weinberg in Bryan Texas and the food and service was amazing! Uncle Bob’s barbecue offers different types of food for weddings but we chose the brisket, chicken, sausage with the mashed potatoes , green beans and macaroni for the kids. Everyone called it fancy barbecue for a wedding. People are still talking about how great the food was. My daughter and son-law didn’t get a chance to eat and they packed them food to go. My daughter said the food was still good even after reheating it. And she’s not one to eat leftovers.
Before I found out about Uncle Bob’s, one month before the wedding, I received 4 quotes and every quote had hidden fees and ridiculous charges. When I received the quote from Uncle Bob’s it was a relief to see a quote that explained every charge in detail. Terri was always available to answer all our questions in a timely manner. And the team was outstanding at the wedding! I wish I would have known about Uncle Bob’s from the beginning because it would have saved me a lot of stress. Thank you for making our night special!“

“This was my first time ordering and I don't regret it! I ordered Thursday's special which was meatloaf served with rice and gravy, my sides were black eye peas and green beans. Everything was so delicious. I appreciated the extra container of gravy that I used on my meatloaf. The meatloaf was tender and nicely seasoned. My only complaint is that the cornbread was dry - tasted good but dry. That won't stop me from coming back. I wanna try the oxtails and Mac & cheese next!“

“This is the best Hartz in Houston IMO .... I've lived around and visited several locations throughout my 39 years of being alive and this is THE ONE. They season chicken like it was made at home. The food is always fresh and they consistently are fresh and hot. I've been on this side of town for a year and have visited several times throughout this past year and i have no complaints. They are better than Popeyes, church's, and the other Hartz located in the other side of 45 headed to humble. Whoever is managing is doing an awesome job. Please continue to consistently serve us fresh, hot, seasoned to perfection chicken and let's not leave the mouth watering tenders out of the conversation. So good.“

“Good buffet and the owner is great and the people that work there chicken has to much batter it's thick. Chicken tenders are small and color of the batter is not the same as the regular fried chicken its clumpy That's just me and my son some people like it. The one on 2920 is good for us thinner batter crust and the chicken tenders are just off the chain big and the batter is the same color as all the other chicken. Smooth crispy chicken!!!“

“We, there were 4 of us, who traveled 6 hours to get here for a week-long class.
We were tired and we were hungry.
Trust me, I get that it is frustrating to watch customers walk in 30 minutes before you close however, we deserve to be treated the same regardless of time.
We were ignored upon entry on purpose to see if we would just leave but we were too hungry to be ignored...
Then we were ignored by our waiter, then to top of our night, not 1 but 2 bowls of potato soup were lukewarm and served with no crackers“

“I've been going to this restaurant for years. My family came here for lunch for a birthday in 2021, and we've regularly visited ever since. I've tried a lot of the menu, everything is excellent and fresh. The portions are great, and they never skimp on the oxtails. From the service to the food, I'll forever be a customer.“

Every time I have frequented them, I have been greeted with a nice, gentle ambiance with no loud or destructive TV, music, or unwanted political opinions. As I have no car and ride a bike, I appreciate neither chilly nor sweltering temperatures. Usually, there are couples having lunch, and children aren't boisterous or running around being annoying or destructive.“
