“Excellent service from Don Juan, Juanita and the rest of the team. They go above and beyond to make sure everything is okay. Their customer service rocks and their food is amazing. My daughter is a big fan of their Very Berry French Toast. We always end up with a smile in our face and obviously would recommend this place to anyone in the area that hasn’t had a chance to try it. “We were visiting from out of town and a local friend recommended this restaurant. My tween daughter and I had dinner here, and it was phenomenal! The food was so good, I went back and got takeout too. Can’t say enough about the delicious, clean food! We had fish tacos, smoked chicken salad and a small Brussels sprouts salad. Picky eater daughter had the kids chicken tacos and raved! Yum!“

“We visited Verf's on 9/19/25 and Jose F was our waiter. The food was wonderful, and our waiter Jose did an excellent job checking on us but not becoming annoying by constantly asking if we needed anything. We sat near the bar which was a tad noisy, but the booth we were seated in was uncomfortable and better suited for larger people b/c the table is too far away from the seats. And our table had an uneven wood surface as we cut into our food. Lastly, the $2.50 discount for Police/Fire/Vets should be a little more ... say 15%. Otherwise, it was an outstanding dining experience.“

Food tried has included the Veggie Omelet, California Benedict (could use a bit more crumbled bacon), Bagel & Lox, Cinnamon Roll French Toast, & Turkey Avocado Wrap. All delicious! Pancakes & waffles come with drizzled cream cheese icing. Wasn't sure about this, but was So good! Servings are very generous. Definitely going back again!“

“Their food and service is amazing, and they are not overpriced like so many restaurants are now. The ambiance is fun and festive with Christmas decor and music. Their vegetarian chili is delicious, although very spicy. I wish it was not quite as spicy but it still has a great flavor. The french fries are fried perfectly - not greasy or soggy at all. Their mac and cheese is delicious and creamy. The fried okra is also perfectly fried - not wet or greasy. The cobb salad is delicious and they actually give you a decent amount of avocado and boiled eggs, unlike some restaurants who put barely any on the salad and then overprice it. And their jalapeno corn muffins are amazing! It has been a long time since I have been to a restaurant like this where everything we ordered is so delicious. Thank you Tolbert’s!“

I was new to the EWAK process but felt at ease learning how this activity would benefit me in the short and long term. “Although I usually enjoy brunch at the cafe, I was pleasantly surprised to attend the loveliest wedding reception recently. The display of foods and desserts was beautiful. The tables were arranged in two long rows decorated with gold and white place settings. The bridal couple and attendants were elegantly seated at the large booth in the front. “Great location for a large group or couples dinner. The service team was on point and made the evening very enjoyable. The appetizers scallops were amazing, the calamari was buttery and seasoned perfectly. The wine selection is good. The steaks were good but lacked tenderness and seasoning. Might have been an off evening as it wasnt the same delicious steaks as previous evenings.
Our waiter was amazing and provided everything needed for a fun time for our group of 10. Deserts were over the top. Huge portions and delicious.

I got the chicken fried steak, and it was delicious—crispy, tender, and full of flavor. The mashed potatoes and green beans were great, and the rolls were fresh and warm.
Even though the restaurant was really busy, my server Justina still managed to take care of everything perfectly. She was super nice, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without any delays.
Overall, great food, great service, and a very comfortable atmosphere. We’ll definitely be coming back.“

“The food was good. The shining star was Mariah S. The woman is hands down the most fantastic bartender I have ever seen, known or heard of. It was like watching a dancer. Every move she made behind the bar had a purpose. She was welcoming and genuinely friendly, not just the shlock that bartenders are prone to put on while they're fishing for tips. Even if the food had been total crap, which it wasn't, the evening would have been 5 star, just to see someone who is incredible at her job, work.“
