Passing through town and overhead a conversation about the Chicken Shack so we thought we'd give it a try. Delicious chicken, nice and crispy and not greasy. The restaurant was very clean and the service was very friendly (and fast!). We'll definitely be stopping through again. They only accept cash or checks.
This is an amazing family owned and operated fried chicken restaurant. The customer service is immaculate and the freshness of the food is always up to par. Prices are the cheapest in the area and some of the friendliest folks in North Texas!! In my overall summary, this is a MUST EAT place when traveling through Vernon, Texas!!

Hit or miss every time. Sometimes they will forget the biscuit or a side in the meal. Sometimes the slaw is inedible and dry. Chicken is good but barely seasoned. I haven't been once that something wasn't messed up with my order and I had to go back in to have it corrected.
