“First time visiting a Taco Casa. Very bright and clean. Nice people and quick service. I had a tostada and it was delicious. My husband commented how good the taco meat tasted.”

“We ran across this place during our road trip. I don’t know where the people preparing the food are from, but it tastes like my home town in Jalisco. The green salsa took me back to my first taco spot. The rice was delicious. The main courses are good and the food is well seasoned. The aguas frescas were a little sweet for me, but they were very flavorful. I hope we come through here on a future trip.”

“I've been twice in the last month. A to go pickup both times for dinner of 3 cost $62 &$64 pretty high dollar for a small town. Asked for a to go water it's on tap and they wanted over $3 which was not purchased it could have been complimentary with a $64 to go order. Enchiladas are great and homemade flour tortillas are awesome”

“Well, all I can say is wow! Passing through driving from Mississippi to Colorado and found this gem! My son had the ribeye grilled cheese, and I ordered the wagyu sausage plate. This place is a must if you've never been here.”

“Haven’t been to this restaurant in many years but enjoyed a terrific meal there last night. The atmosphere was enjoyable. The decor, most appropriate and interesting. I had the shrimp on the skewer and it was delightful. My husband had the blackened catfish and salad… Excellent!! The wait staff was awesome and very attentive. Chatted with the owners who are excited about their business and very dedicated. I would rate this as the number one restaurant in Vernon.”

“Rolling down the highway and googled breakfast in Vernon. I'm glad I did. Big piece of ham, perfect over medium eggs, crispy hash browns like I requested, and biscuits and gravy. The waitress and cook were really nice.”

“Was in town for a funeral and met with family to talk. From the outside you cannot tell what kind of place it is. No lighting on the building, very hard to see inside because the windows are tinted. First thing we noticed was a room full of pool tables, so we almost turned around because we had small children and wasn't comfortable with a bar and pool table atmosphere. Our friends were inside already so we called to say we are going somewhere else. They said to come inside its not busy at all and they were the only group inside, their was a few others seated far away. Football was on all the tv's but it was very quiet inside. Service took about 20 minutes to bring a menu, another 20 to order so very slow. Food was great though onc we finally received it. Had one soda the entire 2 hours I was there because the waitress never came around to ask again for a refill. Probably will never go back just because we don't frequent Vernon any longer simce most relatives have passed away we would visit.”

“Needed a quick meal after along day of hunting on a Sunday evening. Found Fred's on a phone search and was not disappointed. Burger and onion rings were great. Ice cream cone for dessert hit the spot. Staff was polite and courteous. Will be back when I'm in Vernon again.”

“Had to wait for Tyson as usual. Toro is a short walking path from the dirt truck lot across from the truck stop. It was great to sit down and have a really good meal. Had the hibachi combo. Filet, chicken and shrimp over mixed vegetables. Everything was tender and fresh.The tables and chairs are those of a fast food restaurant but don’t let that fool you. The food was delicious!”

“A must stop for us on the drive from Amarillo to Dallas! Love the food so much. Real chicken breast strips to make the kids chicken tenders. The carne asada fries are the perfect sharing meal! Chips and salsa are not the best ever but get the job done.”

“We love Vernon burger. The food is always good and the servers are always friendly. When you order the rice, you get enough for two people. I never share cause I know I'll always want more later.”
