“My wife and just ate here for the first time on a family members recommendation. We shared the Treasure Bites and fried jalapeños. She had the chicken fried steak with white gravy, mashed potatoes, and green beans. I had the chicken fried chicken with brown gravy, macaroni and cheese, and onion rings. It was all delicious. The staff was friendly, attentive, fast and very capable as I witnessed several of them multitasking no problem. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing which was perfect for us. We live all the way in Groves but the drive was worth it and we'll be going again very soon!“

“Pretty nice place with really great food!! We came here after hearing about it from my wife's cousin. The menu has plenty of really good looking dishes and appetizers to choose from! They do have kids menus, but you have to ask as it's not on their menu sheet. I ordered the Big Dixie , a big chicken fried chicken breast in Buffalo sauce with Bleu cheese crumbles and Lettuce and tomatoes with a side of their beer cheese fries. My wife ordered their BLT and a side of the beer cheese fries. We got our son the kids chicken strips and fries with BBQ sauce dip. They both had Cokes for their drinks, while I had Dos Equis draft. My Big Dixie buffalo chicken sandwich was really good as were the Beer cheese fries!! My wife said her BLT and beer cheese fries were delicious also. Our boy said he really liked his chicken strips and BBQ dipping sauce. The place has a really nice ambience and there are quite a few TV screens on the walls for sports etc... Our waitress came by to check on us a few times to make sure we were doing ok. We agreed we wouldn't mind coming back in for lunch again sometime. “The ribs and sausage were good. Broccoli salad was good too. The one thing that I didn't care for was the lack of a good barbecue sauce. I'm not sure what they gave us was actually barbecue sauce. I hope not. It was very bland. Not sweet and tangy like you expect. Otherwise it was good food and the prices were reasonable. I would eat here again.“
“I had my 30th birthday party here with a group of about 18 people. The manager, Carrie (sp?), who helped set it up was so friendly and helpful. Our server, I believe his name was Drew, was like a thief in the night. He was there when we needed him and gone when we didn’t. The food was perfectly timed and delicious. It was split checks. If you have ever had dinner with a larger group, you know how long it can take to split checks, but our server was on top of it! It was the perfect birthday. Hopefully, we weren’t too rowdy of a group.“

Obviously has a strong local following. We tried smothered chops, hamburger steak, and beef tips. The kids immediately liked it. Parking was easy, staff was friendly and fast. The cabbage was already flavored. No hot sauce needed. Mac n cheese, sweet yams, cabbage, cornbread and taters and gravy were all on point in large servings. And the tea is just right. “I have multiple food allergies that can de nerve wracking trying to eat somewhere new. We were staying at the hotel next to this restaurant, and I was tired from being on the road most of the day. I called over and spoke with a manager to see if they would be able to accommodate my many allergies. And I was presently surprised to find out I would have a variety of options, this is rare for me.So we walked over to the restaurant a few hours later. The manager I spoke to on the phone told me to let my waitress know that I needed to talk to him to order. Well Adriana, the manager, was delighted to help prepare me a meal that I wanted and double and triple checked ingredients to make sure it would be safe.My meal was really yummy and safe! And my partners meal looked and smelled amazing even if I couldn't eat it.We had the fried mozzarella balls to start, and then I had the chicken & shrimp combo with broccoli. My partner had the meatball parmesan sub with fries.My allergies all fall outside the top 9. They are corn, coconut, honey, tomato, onion, mint, ginger, and cinnamon.Our waitress was attentive as well.Dietary restrictions: Very good about handling food allergies.“
“I happened to be driving thru downtown and drove by and saw Truth Lounge and Bistro. I brought my wife to try it out and was impressed. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, perfect for a casual meal or a special occasion. They were serving the Saturday brunch menu, I ordered the lamb chops and waffles, and my wife ordered the fish and grits. Both dishes were very delicious and well seasoned. The service is top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who are knowledgeable about the menu and eager to make your dining experience memorable. “Never paid much attention to Katherine and Company until we stopped there for a business lunch. Their menu has a large selection of sandwiches as well as a few plate lunches. The sandwich I ordered was delicious and well put together. Service was acceptable, although they do not have servers that visit your table. Orders are placed at the counter, and your name is called when ready. Overall, it was a great experience, and I plan to return.“

“I have to say I lack words on how AMAZING their sandwiches are. I got a large The Beast as my first sandwich and let me tell you it by far is the tastiest sandwich I have ever enjoyed! I was passing through Vidor and stopped here because my wonderful wife recommended it.
