After knocking out a few errands in Beaumont, I figured I deserved a little treat — I reached out to a handful of friends, but everyone was busy. So once again, I ended up dining solo… something that seems to be happening more often lately (probably means a little self-reflection is in order). But here’s the truth: it still turned into a pretty solid evening. I slid into a seat at J. Wilson’s, started with a Godfather cocktail — smooth, cold, and precisely what the moment called for. Followed it up with a great ribeye steak dinner and capped it off right with crème brûlée and strawberries (along with a second cocktail). Not a bad way to close out a long Saturday. Sure, having a beautiful woman sitting across from me would’ve been the icing on the cake… but you take the wins where you find them. And tonight, the win might just be ending the night with a good cigar and a quiet moment to breathe. J Wilson’s for the win. Service was great — as usual; and the meal was perfect. Not a bad Saturday at all.“

“So some locals took me to this place and I started getting looks like what is this guy doing here so I know it’s gonna be good and it did not disappoint. They kind of treat you like family and make sure you have cash cause they do not do cards they do not tap because they not wrap they don’t do any of that. Crispy chicken was the best. Extremely friendly staff who make you feel like you're neighbors. Absolutely phenomenal burgers. You HAVE to try the pickle spears... That dill batter is like the food version of crack. “Hidden gem.. Home style cooking, old style diner. The food is excellent. I haven't had anything below very good here. Breakfast menu is best around. Hamburger steak was perfectly cooked and juicy, thinly sliced mushrooms, grilled onions. Pork chops were tender, eggs over easy were on point. Chicken fried steak was tender real steak and a nice size. They have good people in the kitchen. Employees were attentive and nice each time. I can't complain. I will be back for sure!“

“First time here, and the food was pretty good! Hubby’s steak was a bit too cooked, so it was tough to chew. The deviled eggs were delicious, and my fig and prosciutto pizza was also great. I also tried the avocado and cucumber salad, which was pretty good. He had a Bloody Mary, and I had a Long Island Tea, which were okay drinks. Not something we’d order again. It was very quiet and not crowded at all when we went on Sunday. I loved the decor and the lighting. It had a chill vibe!“

“Visited at around 5 on a Friday evening. Plenty of seating available, atmosphere was quiet and enjoyable. Appetizers were the stuffed mushrooms and onion petals. For the main course my wife ordered the bone in ribeye with a loaded bake potato and a side salad. My meal was the T bone with rice pilaf and a side of steamed broccoli. My wife asked for medium rare and received a medium rare steak. Seasoning was on point with a nice flame sear. The T bone was ordered rare and received as such. Again the seasoning and sear were perfect. We ordered a mixed drink for her (strawberry margarita) and I had a Mai Tai. Our server was courteous, considerate, and attentive. At no time did we feel pressured to rush a decision and periodically check to verify everything was satisfactory. For the quality of the food, prices were fairly set. The complimentary bread and butter were fantastic. We will definitely eat here again. The only detraction we found was the entry/exit setup. Customers have to exit through the same doors they entered. Exiting past waiting customer entering is a little congested and confusing.“

But I came to this location and received the service and attention I deserved that manager John made sure I was taken care of and was very friendly and prompt I recommend EastTex IHOP before any…!“

“I walked in the other day and there was absolutely no one in there. No staff. A small alarm was going off and again nothing. I waited almost 10 minutes until a young woman came in. I got my order and left and as soon as I was driving out, they were all outside goofing off at the side of the restaurant. I usually have no issue with the staff and they are usually so sweet and nice. A little unprofessional guys. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because of this.“

“I sat by myself, booth. Restaurant looked clean, you can tell extra care is going into making it nice. Prompt service, Heather did a great job. Food came out looking good and tasting good as well. I had pancakes and eggs. I asked for over easy, got it. Potatoes were perfect. Half the battle going out is getting food made right. I highly recommend this location“

“Tx Margarita, pain Killer, RED BEANS AND RICE (my personal fav), smokehouse burger, spinich dip. Steak tips over mashed potatoes, shrimp and fish, ribs, large ribeye, Monte crisco, sirloin, chicken straps, cheese curds, fries, broccoli casserole, green beans, corn, baked potatoes, honey butter corseants,...... absolutely wonderful. Everything was above and beyond! Celebrated a birthday and I personally tried every dish myself and everything was absolutely wonderful 🫶
Our waitress was very attentive and recommended better choices for me drink wise and even sent my birthday baby home with his own personal box of honey butter corseants. 🫶 11 out of 10 for sure!!!! Will be back ❤“
