“J WILSON’S FOR THE WIN Sometimes a Saturday doesn’t go as planned. After knocking out a few errands in Beaumont, I figured I deserved a little treat — I reached out to a handful of friends, but everyone was busy. So once again, I ended up dining solo… something that seems to be happening more often lately (probably means a little self-reflection is in order). But here’s the truth: it still turned into a pretty solid evening. I slid into a seat at J. Wilson’s, started with a Godfather cocktail — smooth, cold, and precisely what the moment called for. Followed it up with a great ribeye steak dinner and capped it off right with crème brûlée and strawberries (along with a second cocktail). Not a bad way to close out a long Saturday. Sure, having a beautiful woman sitting across from me would’ve been the icing on the cake… but you take the wins where you find them. And tonight, the win might just be ending the night with a good cigar and a quiet moment to breathe. J Wilson’s for the win. Service was great — as usual; and the meal was perfect. Not a bad Saturday at all.“

“Super friendly service and the food was really good. We got there like 10 min.s early before they opened. We did not realize we were just a little early. Instead of telling us to come back in a few minutes, they did the polite thing (which is unheard of in today’s society) they told us we are not quite open yet, but we can seat you. They told us it maybe a few minutes for us to get to you. This is totally understandable. Even if they told us to come back we would have understood. But very refreshing for a business and its employees to treat customers like they are more than an inconvenience. The waiter we had was amazing. Very attentive!!! The food was great! “So some locals took me to this place and I started getting looks like what is this guy doing here so I know it’s gonna be good and it did not disappoint. They kind of treat you like family and make sure you have cash cause they do not do cards they do not tap because they not wrap they don’t do any of that. Crispy chicken was the best. They had a massive barbecue pit in the back. I almost went to go get meat just so I could stick it in there and then they said come on let’s do it. I’ll be back.“

Extremely friendly staff who make you feel like you're neighbors. Absolutely phenomenal burgers. You HAVE to try the pickle spears... That dill batter is like the food version of crack. “First time here, and the food was pretty good! Hubby’s steak was a bit too cooked, so it was tough to chew. The deviled eggs were delicious, and my fig and prosciutto pizza was also great. I also tried the avocado and cucumber salad, which was pretty good. He had a Bloody Mary, and I had a Long Island Tea, which were okay drinks. Not something we’d order again. It was very quiet and not crowded at all when we went on Sunday. I loved the decor and the lighting. It had a chill vibe!“

“Some of the best beef tips with gravy, mashed potatoes, cabbage and black eyed peas. They also have great meat loaf. Honestly everything I have ever eaten there has been excellent. I miss this place and can’t wait to come visit and go eat there again.“

“I’m going to be completely honest. A nice young lady named Melanie served me when I went. The BEST service I have EVER received. I am talking better than any restaurant, salon, or shop I have ever been to. She took so good care of me and my party. She was so attentive, quick, and sweet. I could not think it could get even better than that. And then… I went back for a SECOND TIME. You know, I thought Melanie was special and that was a once in a lifetime experience. But my second waitress… Whitney. She did a phenomenal job. I could not believe that my second experience was even better than my first. Whitney was so patient, quick witted, and eager to help us out. Go to Woodrow’s for them two girls! They should be awarded the world’s best waitresses! 👑“

“Visited at around 5 on a Friday evening. Plenty of seating available, atmosphere was quiet and enjoyable. Appetizers were the stuffed mushrooms and onion petals. For the main course my wife ordered the bone in ribeye with a loaded bake potato and a side salad. My meal was the T bone with rice pilaf and a side of steamed broccoli. My wife asked for medium rare and received a medium rare steak. Seasoning was on point with a nice flame sear. The T bone was ordered rare and received as such. Again the seasoning and sear were perfect. We ordered a mixed drink for her (strawberry margarita) and I had a Mai Tai. Our server was courteous, considerate, and attentive. At no time did we feel pressured to rush a decision and periodically check to verify everything was satisfactory. For the quality of the food, prices were fairly set. The complimentary bread and butter were fantastic. We will definitely eat here again. The only detraction we found was the entry/exit setup. Customers have to exit through the same doors they entered. Exiting past waiting customer entering is a little congested and confusing.“

“Food was hot and fresh, Brandi was a great server, acknowledged our kids, kept my drinks full, brought me extra napkins without me asking (I mean who's kids don't make a mess when they eat). Not only did she take care of us, she was taking care of her tables around us. All of the staff was active in the dining room, as a former manager of a restaurant back home I always pay attention to those types of things. I came here last year and hadn't been in since then, but my wife was dying to try the Dubai pancakes. We will definitely make this a normal stop from now on. There must have been a change in management. If I could give 10 stars I would!“

“I walked in the other day and there was absolutely no one in there. No staff. A small alarm was going off and again nothing. I waited almost 10 minutes until a young woman came in. I got my order and left and as soon as I was driving out, they were all outside goofing off at the side of the restaurant. I usually have no issue with the staff and they are usually so sweet and nice. A little unprofessional guys. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because of this.“

“I haven't been to Arby's in YEARS. Their menu has changed a little. When I used to go, years ago, they only sold bugers with -like Turkey, Ham and cheese or something. Well that was at the location I used to visit. Now they have chicken bugers and etc. I was surprised 😮. They meal was good. The staff was friendly and speedy. My fries was fresh and hot.“

“Usually I go to Cheddars for their Monte Christo sandwich but instead of being breaded the sandwich was covered with a batter like a pancake. Not my favourite. The food was really good other'n that. The service was good too. Fortunately they choose to use Raspberry for the sandwich dip, which is the ONLY appropriate dip for the Christo!“
