I love all the cool things hanging on the wall! It really felt like I was somewhere back in time! My husband had the Philly cheesesteak and he loved it! “This is a great dive bar. The beers are nice and cold and price just right Teresa the bartender is awesome. My first time there and they made me feel welcome. I definitely would go again the next time I’m in Beaumont. They don’t have a kitchen, but sometimes the staff will bring something for the patron to eat.“

“The best way I can describe this place? A true southern BBQ party with all the family there and their families too and so. And every fiend you know. And everyone is happy and having a blast and just shaking off the bad week. It feels like home, on a party night! I absolutely love this place! I didn’t even know it existed until about eight or nine months ago. Now I make a point to go out there on Saturdays, at least once a month. I love that they have live music inside and dance floor and that they have karaoke outside also with a dance floor. And the atmosphere is second to none. They also have pub games, if that’s your jam. Everyone is so friendly. I can be having the worst week or month and go spend the night hanging out out there and feel 100 million times better. And I just cannot say enough about the atmosphere! Or the life of performers or DL Halo or especially the resident outside DJ! And as a girl from a deep routed military family involvement, I greatly appreciate their respect to the military and that they’re run by vets.“

After knocking out a few errands in Beaumont, I figured I deserved a little treat — I reached out to a handful of friends, but everyone was busy. So once again, I ended up dining solo… something that seems to be happening more often lately (probably means a little self-reflection is in order). But here’s the truth: it still turned into a pretty solid evening. I slid into a seat at J. Wilson’s, started with a Godfather cocktail — smooth, cold, and precisely what the moment called for. Followed it up with a great ribeye steak dinner and capped it off right with crème brûlée and strawberries (along with a second cocktail). Not a bad way to close out a long Saturday. Sure, having a beautiful woman sitting across from me would’ve been the icing on the cake… but you take the wins where you find them. And tonight, the win might just be ending the night with a good cigar and a quiet moment to breathe. J Wilson’s for the win. Service was great — as usual; and the meal was perfect. Not a bad Saturday at all.“

“Super friendly service and the food was really good. We got there like 10 min.s early before they opened. We did not realize we were just a little early. Instead of telling us to come back in a few minutes, they did the polite thing (which is unheard of in today’s society) they told us we are not quite open yet, but we can seat you. They told us it maybe a few minutes for us to get to you. This is totally understandable. Even if they told us to come back we would have understood. But very refreshing for a business and its employees to treat customers like they are more than an inconvenience. The waiter we had was amazing. Very attentive!!! The food was great! “I'm originally from New Orleans but have lived in Colorado for many years and one thing I really miss are the daiquiri shops. I happened to be passing through Beaumont and thought "I wonder if the have daiquiri shops here?" I did a quick Google search and sure enough, Sipnsip was right down the street from my hotel. It isn't much to look at but the daiquiris were excellent. That really hit the spot.“

“I’m so so glad we still have this Chillis in the area, we were sad when the one in Port Arthur closed but we’re grateful we can still make a short drive and still get our favorite Honey Chipotle chicken crispers and fries! Everytime we have visited here at this Beaumont location service has been great, wait time was short and food was fresh and tasted great without any issues at all, I’ve even showed up with a party of 12 without prior notice and still got seated and taken care of in record time. The staff is friendly every single time, this place definitely deserves more great reviews because they’re killing it, and in the best way!“
