“Great place to eat locally. Everything is awesome. The staff Arlette, Stephanie, Vanessa, Brenda and Alejandra are very friendly, always has a smile, the food is always hot and you get a very good size portion, the owner Fidel walks up to every table and greets you with a smile and shakes your hand. If you haven’t tried Juanita’s Country Kitchen you need too. You will not be disappointed.“

“Finally, I can say that I've eaten at Bobby's Homestyle Cooking, and it did not disappoint!!! My deceased parents ate lunch there frequently and always raved about it, and my family enjoys it regularly, and yet I had never had the opportunity to eat there myself, until yesterday! My meal was absolutely delicious! In spite of my skepticism of ordering gumbo from a restaraunt (my family makes fabulous gumbo & it's hard to measure up), I ordered the gumbo. WOW!!! It was wonderful! So savory & flavorful, and sooo similar to my family's! I thoroughly enjoyed my meal (with delicious potato salad) and my lunch partner had the beef tips, which I sampled as well & found delicious & tender! The atmoshere inside is very quaint with lots of hunting/fishing decor inside, and a neat ball cap collection on the ceiling. I also must comment on the staff - every one of them was very welcoming (even though we arrived 30 minutes before closing), friendly, warm, personable & helpful!
I loved my experience at Bobby's Homestyle Cooking yesterday, and I'm looking forward to returning soon for another delicious meal! Can't wait to try something different because I just know it will be delicious, too! Highly recommend if you're in Nederland & hungry between 10:30 am - 3:00 pm Tuesday through Friday!“

“We rented Karen's venue for a baby shower. I was so delighted! The space is beautiful and she was so kind and easy to work with. We had about 50 people and plenty of room. We went in and sat out food and centerpieces and were done! I highly recommend!“

“First time here, and the food was pretty good! Hubby’s steak was a bit too cooked, so it was tough to chew. The deviled eggs were delicious, and my fig and prosciutto pizza was also great. I also tried the avocado and cucumber salad, which was pretty good. He had a Bloody Mary, and I had a Long Island Tea, which were okay drinks. Not something we’d order again. It was very quiet and not crowded at all when we went on Sunday. I loved the decor and the lighting. It had a chill vibe!“

Extremely friendly staff who make you feel like you're neighbors. Absolutely phenomenal burgers. You HAVE to try the pickle spears... That dill batter is like the food version of crack. “Beautiful place with excellent food. My wife says they have the best salmon she’s ever eaten - I’m not sure how they do it!
The kids love this place (while this is technically not a great place for kids, but more for business lunches). They like the lemonade and small desserts after their meal.“

Very attentive and fun to be around. The manager on shift, Kerri, came and talked to us and checked on us, very friendly and a very comfortable environment. “I've been using Billy Joe's BBQ to cater to my customers for the last 5 years or so. Everyone has always complemented me on the food. He also catered my 65th Birthday party which was a hit. The BBQ brisket and smoked turkey are my favorites. Billy Joe's offers a great portion at a fair price. You can actually feed a family of 4 without having to rob your savings account. Now that's a good deal these days...“

“We dropped in for lunch Saturday 1/27/2024 our waitress was Hannah. We were greeted with a smile. Hannah took our drink order and returned quickly with our drinks. We placed our order and Hannah repeated it back making suggestions along the way. Hannah returned shortly with pipping hot rolls and cinnamon butter. Hannah checked back on us several times while food was being prepared. The food came and was prepared perfectly. I ordered the large Prime Rib (rare). The Prime Rib was prepared perfectly. The wife had Chicken Fried Sirloin which came out perfectly. The was brought out by a different server and in a moment Hannah came back to check on us. We had so much food we could not come close to eating it all. Hannah provided us with to go containers and small containers for the sides. Hannah by far was the best waitress that has ever served us. We will definitely be back and request Hannah for our waitress.“

“Was given a raw $100 thanksgiving turkey that they made us wait over an hour for even though it was ordered a week in advance. Turkey was dry and soggy after having to finish cooking it. Complete waste of money, definitely cook your own turkey!“
