“Went for lunch with my girl today and we had the "mummy peppers" to start. Then shrimp fajitas and birria tacos for entrées. Everything was super good, hot and fresh to the table. Drinks were never empty and waiter was super nice! Even has an outdoor play area for the kiddos with turf!“
“The food was really good. The okra was a bit too salty for my taste but the mac and cheese was delicious. They give a tiny amount for the price. They also don't know what "Texas size" is that they advertise on their menu they will just ring you up for an extra side and a dessert instead of "making it Texas size". The tiny portion size and not being able to make my husband's meal Texas size is why I'm giving this place a 4 star review. I will probably be back on a Sunday for kids eat free but I'll just order a combo meal then because it seems like the better deal.For 15 dollars I got 4 tiny pieces of chicken, 3 tiny ribs, a small amount of okra, a good size mac and cheese and a roll. The portion sizes can be better but other then that the taste was great and the food was really well seasoned. “Last week I tried this place for the first time. Our servers name was Bree. Bree was kind, not rushed, helpful, sincere, and polite. Her service made the experience better and the place was already nice. The food was yummy, I had the fried shrimp. Delicious - tasted like shrimp. What's that mean? Most the time at other places I simply taste breading - but not the shrimpies I had at Walk-On's, those are fantastic.Thanks again, Bree!“

“Yes. The gravy is dark. And soooo good! Glad I gave this place a try. Will definitely return. We pulled up right at opening and there were already several people ahead of us. Obviously has a strong local following. We tried smothered chops, hamburger steak, and beef tips. The kids immediately liked it. Parking was easy, staff was friendly and fast. The cabbage was already flavored. No hot sauce needed. Mac n cheese, sweet yams, cabbage, cornbread and taters and gravy were all on point in large servings. And the tea is just right. “I happened to be driving thru downtown and drove by and saw Truth Lounge and Bistro. I brought my wife to try it out and was impressed. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, perfect for a casual meal or a special occasion. They were serving the Saturday brunch menu, I ordered the lamb chops and waffles, and my wife ordered the fish and grits. Both dishes were very delicious and well seasoned. The service is top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who are knowledgeable about the menu and eager to make your dining experience memorable. We will definitely be returning to try the dinner menu! Overall, Truth Lounge and Bistro is a must-visit for anyone looking for great food in a welcoming atmosphere.“

“Never paid much attention to Katherine and Company until we stopped there for a business lunch. Their menu has a large selection of sandwiches as well as a few plate lunches. The sandwich I ordered was delicious and well put together. Service was acceptable, although they do not have servers that visit your table. Orders are placed at the counter, and your name is called when ready. Overall, it was a great experience, and I plan to return.“

“Picked up an order and it was decent. The chicken salad on a croissant was tasty. The homemade chips and artichoke dip were great. The shrimp gumbo lacked flavor and didn't have anything in it except a couple of shrimp. The prime rib sandwich didn't include any au jus.“

“It's a Waffle House. It was clean, the staff was nice and helpful and the food tasted the way it should. The only complaint I could possibly make is that the eggs they had looked like extra tiny size and 4 scrambled eggs on my plate looked a lot like the 2 I usually get, lol.“
“Nice brewery in downtown Nederland. The flight of beer was not a bad price either! $15 to sample 4 beers. The beer- the red ale was good, the German pilsner (frau nau) was very hoppy/IPA- After living in Germany 11yrs I was a bit sad to have that taste, not a traditional pils. There cream coffee one (avenue B) was good. The Amadeus Lager Vienna was also hoppy/IPA, not as bad as the Frau Nau. But not a typical lager from Austria. Overall, good experience, nice staff, clean and fair prices. If I go bad, I'd try different beers to see if I find one I like.“
