The staff Arlette, Stephanie, Vanessa, Brenda and Alejandra are very friendly, always has a smile, the food is always hot and you get a very good size portion, the owner Fidel walks up to every table and greets you with a smile and shakes your hand. If you haven’t tried Juanita’s Country Kitchen you need too. You will not be disappointed.“

“Finally, I can say that I've eaten at Bobby's Homestyle Cooking, and it did not disappoint!!! My deceased parents ate lunch there frequently and always raved about it, and my family enjoys it regularly, and yet I had never had the opportunity to eat there myself, until yesterday! My meal was absolutely delicious! In spite of my skepticism of ordering gumbo from a restaraunt (my family makes fabulous gumbo & it's hard to measure up), I ordered the gumbo. WOW!!! It was wonderful! So savory & flavorful, and sooo similar to my family's! I thoroughly enjoyed my meal (with delicious potato salad) and my lunch partner had the beef tips, which I sampled as well & found delicious & tender! The atmoshere inside is very quaint with lots of hunting/fishing decor inside, and a neat ball cap collection on the ceiling. I also must comment on the staff - every one of them was very welcoming (even though we arrived 30 minutes before closing), friendly, warm, personable & helpful!
I loved my experience at Bobby's Homestyle Cooking yesterday, and I'm looking forward to returning soon for another delicious meal! Can't wait to try something different because I just know it will be delicious, too! Highly recommend if you're in Nederland & hungry between 10:30 am - 3:00 pm Tuesday through Friday!“

“For Labor Day we had Dickey's Barbecue. We went late, they were out of some choices due to a high demand holiday. They did offer that some meats were in the oven but not yet ready.
We understood and accepted what they had cooked. It was delicious. This was my first time going there. I will certainly return to try the other meats.“

They kind of treat you like family and make sure you have cash cause they do not do cards they do not tap because they not wrap they don’t do any of that. Crispy chicken was the best. “First time here, and the food was pretty good! Hubby’s steak was a bit too cooked, so it was tough to chew. The deviled eggs were delicious, and my fig and prosciutto pizza was also great. I also tried the avocado and cucumber salad, which was pretty good. He had a Bloody Mary, and I had a Long Island Tea, which were okay drinks. Not something we’d order again. It was very quiet and not crowded at all when we went on Sunday. I loved the decor and the lighting. It had a chill vibe!“

The flavor of the shrimp stood out on its own i cant wait to go back and have the shrimp by itself. My wife had the fried chicken sandwhich, bun is incredible chicken fried to perfect, she said could've used some more seasoning on the chicken tho. “I've been using Billy Joe's BBQ to cater to my customers for the last 5 years or so. Everyone has always complemented me on the food. He also catered my 65th Birthday party which was a hit. The BBQ brisket and smoked turkey are my favorites. Billy Joe's offers a great portion at a fair price. You can actually feed a family of 4 without having to rob your savings account. Now that's a good deal these days...“

“We dropped in for lunch Saturday 1/27/2024 our waitress was Hannah. We were greeted with a smile. Hannah took our drink order and returned quickly with our drinks. We placed our order and Hannah repeated it back making suggestions along the way. Hannah returned shortly with pipping hot rolls and cinnamon butter. Hannah checked back on us several times while food was being prepared. The food came and was prepared perfectly. I ordered the large Prime Rib (rare). The Prime Rib was prepared perfectly. The wife had Chicken Fried Sirloin which came out perfectly. The was brought out by a different server and in a moment Hannah came back to check on us. We had so much food we could not come close to eating it all. Hannah provided us with to go containers and small containers for the sides. Hannah by far was the best waitress that has ever served us. We will definitely be back and request Hannah for our waitress.“

“We got a family meal to go. Two orders of the family size chicken tenders with fries and 2 family sides of corn. Everything was packed well and they have the BEST plastic ware! The staff was prompt and kind in delivering it out to our car. Their curbside service seems to work very well. The app was no problem, very easy. We got gravy and BBQ sauce for the chicken but there are several different sauces you can order. This meal was pleant for 5 family hefty family members with enough left to send food home to both houses. Can't say enough good stuff about it. Looking forward to purchasing this again the next gathering we have“

“Was given a raw $100 thanksgiving turkey that they made us wait over an hour for even though it was ordered a week in advance. Turkey was dry and soggy after having to finish cooking it. Complete waste of money, definitely cook your own turkey!“

“I sat by myself, booth. Restaurant looked clean, you can tell extra care is going into making it nice. Prompt service, Heather did a great job. Food came out looking good and tasting good as well. I had pancakes and eggs. I asked for over easy, got it. Potatoes were perfect. Half the battle going out is getting food made right. I highly recommend this location“
