“Jaime’s is an oasis in the middle of the live music desert known as San Antonio. From the moment you walk in, you feel like you just walked into a happy, family reunion. It feels like a big hug, a refuge from the anxiety ridden existence so many are living with today.Bringing in acts from the best soul labels on the planet (Colemine and Daptone) is a huge gold star for Jaime and his crew. SA has a really hard time bringing these bands in as they most often play Austin, where the bands are easily selling out. The fact is however, that SA has a thirst for latin, blues and soul and someone is finally focusing on introducing us to these genres.Beer by the bucket and pitchers of draft are a steal and a full bar awaits those who prefer something stronger or fruitier. The food is reasonable and Jaime patrols the entire scene like a happy shark. He manages this venue, from bar backing to finding parking spots. He runs a tight ship and it really shows.I can’t think of any place in SA I would rather see a show. Bring your own folding chairs if you like, or come early and grab a seat close to the stage.The only thing I could ask for is that they put out multiple water stations, away from the outside ordering area.Love the Blues and Soul fest and can’t wait to see y’all in a week or so for The Altons and Thee Sinseers!“

“well if you like frozen drinks like I do you the employees are nice and friendly and my husband says awesome I recommend this place because they are good the first one I had I got the strongest one in the next day I had to hang over but that's not keeping me from going back to enjoy some nice daiquiris I love this place and I will be back we only live 6 minutes away so yes I will be back and I love the atmosphere of the palm trees cuz I love palm trees it's just a nice cool place to go get a refreshing adult beverage I give it a six star on up“

“Nice, large parking lot, cold ac inside with separate pool table area. TV's to watch games, and they support Texas teams. Nice patio area with an outdoor stage. They have live music, drink specials and kid, as well as pet friendly. They have a very sweet, handsome resident pittie that loves to greet you and let you love on him. They serve popcorn and pitcher specials.“

“I'm an older cat and remember back in the days when San Antonio had a few Stanley's Ice Houses. It's not a bar, not a beer barn, but a place where you can hang out and toss back a few cold ones, while listening to great music on the juke, or from the DJ . Haven't seen Stanley's in quite some time, and I'm happy to say the original ice house thrives once again with Sanchez Ice House. Located off Guadalupe St. and hidden away along side 35, I never would have known it existed if not for a coworker inviting me there. Now Sanchez Ice House isn't fancy and there's no "dress code", but what there is, is very COLD beer! It's a working man's pitstop to relax and wind down. There's plenty of picnic tables, so no chance of being turned away, and mostly all tables are under a roof. It's like a big bar with no walls and plenty of breeze. The people there are friendly, so if you show up alone, you'll meet new friends. There's plenty of room for dancing, but if you're looking to shoot pool or throw darts, go to a billiard hall. This is an Ice House, the way it was when I was a kid and the way it should always be.Had a great time and WILL be back.Adios Amigos...Yesterday, Sat Sept 23, I returned to Sanchez Ice House for there 33 year anniversary. Puro party! Beers were flowing, DJ was thumping and people were laughing. What more could you want... except FREE food at 5. Yes Amigos, if you weren't there, you missed out. “Thought this was a good place to get my growler filled until Veronica wanted to make a scene when I had questions about multiple transactions on my card. I was going to leave a tip but not after the unprofessional customer service I recieved. Here's a tip Veronica, tips aren't required by law. But if you think by filling a growler and pouring a couple of beers is worthy of such hard work, maybe work on better customer service skills. Never again. Y'all lost my buisness!! Ridiculous to call a customer out in a public setting over something you think you had a right to...“

“People said previously down there, dance floor not very big. Well it is when people share the love for the same music and dance forms. I'm new to this side of town, and this is the only place I actually feel safe!!! The bar staff is EXCELLENT, VERY welcoming and friendly.... Also heart warming. 10 times out of 10 I always recommend this place for not only local drinking, but to new comers too, well at least the cool ones thank y'all so much, grasshopper crew and owners. Sylvia is an amazing bartender, and the owners are freaking awesome! “I took the wrong bus one night and ended up spending a few hours at this dive. They were understanding and let me charge my phone since I didn't have a portable charger and even bought me a couple of beers on the house.Before I had to catch the last bus on the line-up to head home I had a enlightening wonderful conversation with the head bartender who gave me a portable charger that was a life-saver! Thank you so much for your help, conversation, and the charger!“

“Great personal bar! Owner is an amazing person, always greets everyone when they come in and says good bye when they leave. Amazing live music every weekend! Low price beer. We made so many friends while we were there. Love this bar! We will definitely be back!“

Every time I've gone, sweet bartenders, descent prices and specials , multiple TV's for sports etc and the best part for me is there's always an open table out of 5 pool tables and darts. Just the way I like it. Talk to me right, give me what I want and let me be.... ? Cool, kick back, EZ Chilling Loc for hanging out till traffic dies down or just to polish off your pool game.“

“Went on a Saturday evening whim. Very cheap 26$ for an hour of bowling up to 6 people. Balls are pretty cheap so definitely not for the "expert" bowler but over all nice people, and fun time. Gets pretty crowded in the later evening with all the basic training kids and their fams. We'll go again!!!“

We not once had to ask for refills on drinks or chips and salsa! He checked on us before we ran out or just brought it out. Honestly, have not had such good service at any restaurant in a long time.
