“We are in Texas for a visit and I have heard of Balcones and have tasted the product, so we booked a tour with tasting and was not disappointed.. Probably spent to much money on the product to bring home. LOL (Balcones is not available in Utah) Highly recommend a visit if your in Waco.“

“This hole in the wall, has amazingly food, and fabulous service. I believe the same family has owed and ran it for over 100 year. Small yes…I think a few booths and the counter with bar stools to eat at. Don’t be in Waco, near vtecks and not give it a try. They close early 3:30 on Saturday!“

“What a wonderful surprise! Don’t let the neighborhood keep you away. I had the gyro plate and the meat was so tender I cut it with my plastic fork…like butter. It was delicious. The hummus was great as well as the chicken kabob. I especially loved that it is family owned and run. A very special place. We will be back.“

“We were in on Christmas Eve. Short handed crew, crowded with customers. Alexis and (Butter)John along with the duty manager took care of us like we were the only people there! The kitchen did an excellent job on the steaks and the vegetables were perfect. Baked potato was as usual, ready to eat with plenty of butter, and hot. Got spoiled by these guys! Happy for sure.“

“We were planning a one day visit to Waco to have breakfast and then visit the Waco Mammoth NM, but it turned out that the restaurant we were planning to visit requires booking few weeks in advance... so we changed our plan and visited first the Waco Mammoth NM and then had lunch.
The thing is that by the time (3 PM) we were ready for the lunch, it was too late for lunch or too early for dinner for most of the restaurants in Waco, therefore they were closed.
Thanks God we found Torchy's Tacos.
I had a Breakfast burrito and my wife a couple of tacos (one Democrat and one steak fajita... the former is like mexican "barbacoa").
My burrito tasted amazing, it was an extraordinary combinations of flavors and textures.
They should include coffee on their beverages options.“

The mission of what they are doing for this neighborhood and for their employees is inspiring. We would go back even if it was just for the mission but to get great food with great service too!“

“1 - Excellent food…fried pickles appetizer gone in 60 seconds; burgers were awesome; tater tots add beyond yummy…and stay crispy enough for next day breakfast ( because they give you a portion that you WILL have another meal) 2 - Speedy, friendly customer service…very attentive staff….we tipped well over the standard 20% because it was so good! 3 - beautiful, lively atmosphere…air coolers for outdoor eating, which we chose despite the heat/humidity Most importantly, I was an out of tower and this was my last meal with local family before flying out the next morning. Dumb a** me left my wallet at the restaurant and didn’t realize until getting ready to leave for the airport at 0830. We stopped by the restaurant to see if it was still in the outdoor eating area…nope. Luckily, ran into the contractor doing some work…he called the owner, the owner confirmed it was in the office safe. After hearing I needed to make the AM flight to DFW for connection to home, he dispatched an employee to go in on a planned closed day to get my wallet. This kindness allowed me to make my flight…what he didn’t know is this act of kindness was critical because I had a new job in-person interview scheduled for the next day. Forever grateful. THAT is customer service. Thank you so much! Tells a lot about the culture and dedication to customers. Keep up the awesome work…I will be back. Promise to keep better accountability of my wallet!“

“I literally just got out of Providence Hospital yesterday about 3:00 p.m. hungry. I told my wife, let's stop at Kim's. She had to hold my arm and steady me from the effects of anesthetic for surgery. I had to get my Kim's food.The waitress was very nice and attentive. The chef's salad was great.“

The 50-50 chicken bulgogi with onion cukes and cilantro and the siracha sauce was incredible! Some of the best food I've had in a long time. I had the BLT and my friend had the smoked turkey melt, both with fries. Both were delicious. You could tell the breads were freshly baked. I opted to leave the BBQ aoli sauce off of my BLT.
