We have never had excellent service until this visit by Giovanna. We requested Bottle Service and she went above and beyond in presentation and service. The sweet smell of fresh donuts hits you instantly upon entering. Don’t get me wrong, this place is no frills; what you see is what you get, but what you get is damn good. The kolaches are pillowy soft and the donuts melt in your mouth. I understand why their parking lot is always full whenever I drive by.“

“The food was delicious, especially the Dubai chocolate pancakes! Kaleen was very sweet and attentive. We did not have to wait or ask for anything! The only complaint I have is that one of the sinks in the women’s restroom was not working and the towel dispenser was not working too well either. I’m not sure if management changed but they used to be on top of cleaning and restocking things. Either way, it was a great Saturday breakfast outing with my kids!“

“This is a place I'll definitely be a regular to. I had the chilaquiles. I didn't know if I wanted red or green, so I was able to get both. Even the coffee was so good. I honestly I no complaints about this food.

“Mrs Elsa that works here is very friendly and nice, she's always in a good mood and smiling when I come in. The food is delicious, the kolaches are great but I especially love the spinach and feta or strawberry and cream kolache that they have. Also they have Vietnamese iced coffee which you can't just get anywhere, and it uses cafe du monde coffee to give it that authentic flavor. The only complaint is that I'm getting fat since I work in this area. 😆

“After church we went the total opposite direction to the waffle house in alvin. What a difference. The door person who was cleaning windows held the door for us. Open seats right away. Within 2 minutes we had a very sweet waitress serenity who took our drink order, food at the table inside ten minutes. Hubbys bacon not quite crisp enough for him and promptly fixed with a smile. Drinks kept topped up in and out in 32 minutes….in a sunday. Fyi I observeduch more detailed cleaning every time a table was cleared the condiments container was lifted and wiped under. This door person starts clearing booths immediatelt! Great job Alvin!!!“

“Pelican is seriously one of those rare breakfast spots that just *nails it*. The food is amazing—crispy bacon, big hearty breakfasts, and that homemade feel you don’t get much anymore. The chicken fried steak? Unreal. Perfectly crispy, super tender, and that gravy on top is just next level. You can tell everything’s made with care, not just thrown together. It’s honestly hard to find places like this these days. If you're into real, solid breakfast food that tastes homemade, you gotta check this place out. Total hidden gem. “Ordered the two egg breakfast. Eggs were cooked to order. The hashbrowns were seasoned for once. This is not common for IHOPs in the area. The toast would have benefited from more butter but, what i my world doesn't benefit from more butter. Overall very satisfied.“
