Dark Skies Tavern & Kitchen is a well hidden local dive bar and a great local Hill Country spot with a laid back bar vibe. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and uniquely Wimberley, surrounded by clear flowing waters and Cypress trees. The tavern has a small live music stage, stone Texas rustic interior, and a great bar. Drinks are priced right and poured even righter, and the service is outstanding. The manager goes above and beyond, and the staff is friendly, attentive, and professional. Food highlights include incredible sliders and tasty Fried Chicken Mini Sandwiches. Darts, shuffleboard, and board games are available for free. The space is great for event hosting, a private birthday bash, or just grabbing a drink. Dark Skies Tavern is a gem for great food, a relaxing vibe, and top-notch service.
