“Family owned and operated great Mexican restaurant in Yancey. The food here is always fresh, delicious and hot. The staff here is always accommodating whether you walk in for lunch or dinner. Chips and salsa are served when you sit and are really good. They have a very wide variety on their menu. My favorite is #18! The enchiladas, rice, beans & fajitas are delicious. They now serve beer & margaritas. La Carreta has an excellent atmosphere with outdoor seating. If you're in the Yancey area and would like phenomenal Mexican food, stop in! You will be back.“

“We stopped here on our way back to Houston. The server was very professional and attentive and the food was delicious. I know from the outside looking in it doesn’t look like much but it was a friendly environment and I believe the flour tortillas were handmade so that was amazing! Definitely stop by if you are looking for good and inexpensive Mexican food.“
