They have these new curry puffs that are basically just meat pies (like the delicious ones you find in New Zealand and Europe haha). “Look what I stumbled upon in downtown Murray Utah! I was just at FOE playing in a pool playoff and as I pulled onto 5th I see the word "diner". Diners are my jam! Got me! It's a Thai restaurant!!! Doing the Yelp peek, seems I struck gold. They close in 16 minutes. I got mine to go. They kindly accepted my order and shared a prudent warning about the spice level 3/5 being extremely spicy. I opted for a 2 and she gave an additional warning that it may be too much too. The hostess and the cashier are classy ladies and very accommodating. I'll assume this food is amazing and I will be back with friends! My food arrived and I'll be home in 20 minutes. I will circle back with the foodie portion of the review in a bit. The place is pretty full and the vibe is no music and great conversations all around. I'm home and the food is so good! Grateful for the spice downgrade for a 3 to a 2/5. It's perfectly spicy. The garlic tofu, I forgot to ask for a spice level and it's just delicious. I'm eating it thinking about the perfectly cooked vegetables and firm tofu. So much good flavor and delicious flavor. The spring rolls are fresh and light the sauce a blend of peanut sauce and vinaigrette. I ate all three of them. I'll likely make three meals from this order. As for tonight, I'm full and very satisfied. I highly recommend this hidden gem.“

Where this place supercedes is atmosphere! Top prize! It seems so many Thai restaurants are mostly bare walls, minimal decor, fluorescent lighting, and basic tables and chairs. This place is on the complete opposite end of the spectrum! Go just to see the place. It's small but amazing! My masaman curry was delicious, the fresh wraps were tasty (although they use basil instead of mint) and the sticky rice with mangoes was yummy!Vegetarian options: Most main entrées are available with veggie and/or tofu options.“

“Good service. The food was pretty decent compared to the other Thai places around my area. The pad see ew had actual dark soy sauce in it. Normally when I get this from other places there's barely any soy sauce and the noodles looks white. The dish had plenty of meat and veg in there. I wish it had Chinese broccoli instead of American like the traditional pad see ew does. The pad Thai was flavorful. My mom complained that there was not enough peanuts but I thought it was fine. Next time I'll try their curry which looked like you get a healthy portion from what I've seen at the other tables.“

We had the Pad Won Sen, Pineapple Fried Rice, and the Orange Chicken and everything was super yummy. This place did not disappoint! David our server was so nice and on top of it. “My father in law suggested we check this place out. We were in the area so we decided to try it. You can only order take out, which is fine. The food took maybe 15 minutes, but it came out piping hot and fresh. We ordered green curry and Pad Gra Prow. Both were good, the Pad Gra Prow though was one of the best Thai dishes I’ve ever tried. It was flavorful and smoky, I’d definitely would come back just for that dish, it was reasonably priced as well. So so so good!!“

There is a surprising herb they add that I won't ruin the surprise, but it is fantastic from the first bite! I had the panang and it was perfect. The spice is mild to medium you can ask for spicier if you like. Heat scale about a 3 of 10. Also recommend the Thai Tea, cold of course. This is a drink with sweet milk and tea so don't add sugar until you taste it. One sip and you will crave it the rest of your life! Very convenient across the parking lot to the Hilton Garden Inn.“

“We love Ekamai. Very friendly for gluten-free eating - we love that they are so fluent in this and can make almost anything on the menu gf. In addition, the staff is friendly, the service is great, the food is good, the portions and prices are very good. It's casual - nothing fancy, but a nice place to eat. In addition there is an outdoor patio & they even let our dog sit with us during dinner on the patio one evening. We're pretty loyal to Ekamai for Thai food in Salt Lake.“

Definitely skip these. - Red curry with beef: this was the STAR. Absolutely loved the flavor, couldn't stop eating it. - Basil stir fry with beef: also amazing flavor.
