“This was our first visit at Kimi's since they moved. What an upgrade!!! They were already high quality, but they are now incredibly top notch. The ambience is lovely, the decor and staircase are stunning, and the service is exceptional. The food was delicious on every single plate ordered and our server, Gary, was incredible. “A must-try fine dining experience in Salt Lake city. Everything was great. Wasn't one thing I didn't enjoy eating or drinking. The service is fantastic and you can tell that a lot goes into the meals. I did the 7 course with beverage pairing (not wine) which included amuse bouche, bread, salad, 4 mains, 2 desserts and 5 drinks. Highlights of the meal were the duck pasta and the lamb. I also really enjoyed the olive oil cake and the drinks. They do have a vegetarian menu (but I didn't get the opportunity to try it).“
“My wife and I were in town celebrating our 20th anniversary. We were looking for a great restaurant, hoping for a fantastic dining experience. The wild rose did not disappoint, we had an incredible time and enjoyed the visit from beginning to end. All of the food was high-quality and cooked perfectly to order. “The staff is extremely attentive, the food is over the top. The portion sizes are perfect. This truly is a dining experience. Not to mention the wine is incredible. We shared a bottle of the Ripasso and it was phenomenal. If I had to complain about anything, parking is limited and the building is underwhelming considering the quality of the rest of the experience. Absolutely one of my favorite restaurants in the valley. And they follow the European tradition of no tipping allowed. If you haven't had the opportunity to give this place a shot it should definitely be on your list.“
“First off Sourdough and pastries won James beard nominee, and the taste reflects that consistently!Coffee and ambiance are amazing as well, beautiful gardens and interior design, great beans from Idle Hands Roasting in SLC.Execution on drinks is nice, I had a mocha, they made their own chocolate, and all flavorings in house, this mocha was one of the best I’ve had.Overall my drink was made well, with temperature, milk consistency, and espresso flavor. 10/10.Service was lovely, bread to take home, and some toast with house made butter and jelly, hard to beat!Definitely try it, then get dinner upstairs at night! “Casot is a delightful neighborhood wine bar. I joined a friend here for the first time the other night and the staff were so welcoming. While their food menu isn’t super extensive, their wine list certainly is and the staff know it well! Atmosphere was fantastic and helped set the mood. Casot would make for a great place to go on a date night to enjoy a delicious glass before or after dinner at one of the nearby restaurants.“
“I’ve been several times in the past and recently visited for dinner with a group. The food was tasty. I loved the flavors of the appetizers. The burger I had was delicious and the meat was cooked to a medium medium rare and I like that. The service was on point. The atmosphere was cool. I’d definitely come back. “I came to Carmine's to celebrate my Italian sister in-laws birthday. The restaurant was beautiful and is a perfect setting for a fancier type of dinner. The staff were very helpful and attentive. We had a huge party of two tables and they handled everything wonderfully. Carmine's is more expensive but there were many stand out dishes such as the bruschetta appetizer that had 6 different types of tomatoes, a base of roasted tomatoes paste, herbed diced tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, tomato mayo, candy tomatoes and tomato powder with balsamic glaze and basil mayo. It was a fun twist on the classic bruschetta! The Bigoli allo Scoglio was a seafood pasta dish with such a fun presentation and delicious taste! The only dish we ordered that I didn't love was the Chicken Cacciatora. The chicken was dry and there wasn't anything special about the dish. Next time I go to Carmine's I will stick to the cream based pastas because those were all delicious! All in all this place is a great Italian place to celebrate any of special occasions!“
“Tried the new Emigration breakfast sandwich that has sausage and jelly. Very solid, if a bit messy, and plenty of food! Breakfast potatoes were fantastic and crispy. Probably the best drip/refillable coffee I've had, tasted like some of the single origin light roasts I brew at home. “The place is lively, not romantic and noisy but the high ceiling helps with that. The water and chips came right away, the man was on top of that but It took 12 minutes to get a server after I got a manager's attention. Two managers a man and a woman were doing their best to help the servers and we got more attention after that. I understand they are going through some changes at this time to make it better, so there was no entertainment. The flautas which came before the main course were simply amazing. The main course chicken fajitas were to die for and my wife's enchiladas were worth writing home to mom about. My wife got a strawberry drink which was flaming, exciting to watch. We spoke with a manger named Laura last night and she made sure we were taken care of throughout the meal as well as the many other customers. I will go back, even if it's to take out but not at a time when it's most noisy. The food was priced right for what I got and I'm sure the restaurant will only get better. This is probably in my top 3 Mexican restaurants in central Utah. I would know, since I am Mexican.“
