“Pepper Lunch was on my list of restaurants to try during a trip to Tokyo this past April, but I unfortunately wasn’t able to. Imagine my surprise when I found out that one had opened right here in Riverton!

The food is absolutely fantastic, and appears very fresh. It’s served sizzling hot right on your own personal heated platter, guaranteeing your meal won’t go cold. I ordered a Jumbo Beef with a fountain drink, and paid around $22. For the quality, taste, and freshness of the food, I thought this was an exceptional value.

Don’t forget to ask for a loyalty punch card! For every 8 meals purchased (technically 7, since one spot is already pre-filled) you’ll get a free meal.

Pepper Lunch absolutely lived up to the hype from when I was researching my original Japan trip, and I’ll be frequently coming back. Please open up some more Utah locations!“

“Everything was absolutely perfect. We tried a variety of rolls and dishes. The presentation, flavors and even textures, perfection. New favorite sushi restaurant.“

“Unbelievable to have this in the south valley! The fish on the donburi and in the sushi rolls is fresh and flavorful. The portions are excellent, especially for a very reasonable price. With a few substitions they can also accommodate gluten allergies on some of the menu items. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable as well.“

First the Food. Everything is freshly made, hot, and very good. I've had the chicken, steak, and salmon teriyaki, all of which are fantastic. The plates are massive, and I often have lots of leftovers. The smaller bowls are also a full meal, and often what I order. The drinks are made fresh as well, and I am fond of the Thai Tea and Sakura Coffee. The Boba is fresh made and hot, which makes for a really fun and unique experience, with the ice cold beverage and warm Boba. Its a treat!
Their sushi is also fairly good.

The staff is great. The owners are extremely nice, and very helpful.

The restaurant is small, but well taken care of. Its clean, bright, and not too loud.

The chef was very talented, lots of the normal hibachi experience: throwing eggs, fire, throwing shrimp in each persons mouth, etc. the food was delicious and each thing was the perfect temperature. They give everyone 2 sauces plus soy sauce on the table so you can season more as needed. We brought up an allergy to peas and she assured us they didn’t use it in the fried rice.“

“My inaugural dining experience at the sushi bar was exceptional. The sushi, meticulously prepared by the chef, was outstanding, and the harmonious blend of flavors created a truly perfect dish. I would not be surprised if he held the title of Master Sushi Chef at the establishment. I entrusted him with the selection of my sushi, and the resulting experience was extraordinary. In my opinion It rivaled the quality of some of Japan's most esteemed sushi restaurants. The atmosphere was serene, and the ambiance was ideal. My beverages were consistently refilled, never falling below half-full, which was greatly appreciated. Would I personally return? No, unless the specific sushi chef, whose name I believe was Robel, was on duty. His expertise is that remarkable. Would I recommend this restaurant? “keyaki sushi is my favorite! i used to go to garage grill for my sushi nachos. then my best friend sent me a recommendation. ,,,, holy moly! I do wish they'd have an option on door dash to hold jalapenos and add other ingredients, like king crab and fish eggs. people would pay extra. I would! I highly recommend this place but be careful, if you have them, you will get addicted! best ever!“

“As always it's fantastic! Server Maximus was very knowledgeable about the menu and found us a new favorite sushi roll even though we've been going to Tsunami a few times a year for YEARS!! We had our drinks, miso soup, and cucumber salads within 5 minutes of arriving. Then we had our delicious sushi within 15 minutes of arriving!! We didn't feel rushed but were completely done with our meal within 30 minutes! This is my absolutely favorite place to eat out! The food NEVER misses and servers are always so friendly and knowledgeable! Will never get enough of coming here!!“

“I have been coming here since they've opened and love their food. However, I am very disheartened lately how their cook Olden (I believe is his name) treats the other staff. He tends to get overwhelmed by tickets or special requests. When I've experienced this happening he seems as though he gets stressed out. Then he lashes out on the other staff around him, especially the owner's mother who works the register. I've experienced this on multiple occasions and it's frustrating to see. I love this place but it's beginning to make me not want to come here due to how he treats others. I have kept my mouth closed for the experience of other customers in the building. However, your staff don't deserve this type of treatment and I will be standing up for them the next time this happens in front of me. I've kept my mouth shut long enough.“

“The food is fresh and delicious and hot. Every bit of it is cooked to perfection. Idk how they do it but the vegetables (despite not being seasoned or roasted) are so flavorful and fresh and bright. The sauces and spices are wonderful and the meat is always cooked perfectly no matter which kind I get, as well as the rice. The service is friendly and again, the food is wonderful. I've come in a bit hangry once and they were good to me anyway. They've got it all figured out.“

We have an opportunity to enjoy a great dinner, very fresh sashimi platter, playboy roll, seafood fried rice… We are surprise that in a small town like this place , we are able to find a great Japanese food that is as great as the Taiko Restaurant in My home town in Southern California …“
