Restaurantji's guide to Sandy's top Mexican dining experiences.
“Wonderful! First time there, primarily for the Mariachi performing group (Tuesdays 6-8). They were fantastic! It can be a little loud, but heh... they performed their first number for the entire restaurant, then proceeded to go around to the different tables and, if requested, perform a special number for the people at that table or booth. We found the food to be quite good as well. Service was perfectly fine. It can be difficult to hold conversations while they are singing, so next time, we might get there at maybe 530, enjoy our food and chat, and then enjoy the performing group for however long we like. Highly recommend this place for the excellent food and for the Mariachi band on Tuesday evenings.“
“Excelent service. Super friendly and attentive, we came for breakfast and let me tell you their coffee is SO GOOD. (Cafe de holla ) I asked about their coffee and the waiter told me how they make it. I mean what restaurant does that. It's just shows how much they care about the experience they want their customers to have. The good OMG I got the (huevos and chorizo) plate . Super good. My wife loved her (huevos and tocino) plate . Overall awesome choice . Will decently come back to try their (viria ) highly recommend this place.“
“Would recommend the deep fried ice cream, that was a delicious treat! The taco salad was perfect and my favorite were my shrimp tacos - so flavorful!Would pass on the nachos next time as it seemed very microwaved but other than that it wasn’t a bad choice for takeout!Parking: Place can get pretty crowded - especially around dinner time on the weekends so parking can seem sparse. Street parking available but be aware it’s a very busy street.“
“Found this breakfast spot on a complete whim and glad I did! They're located inside Dog Haus so it's a bit hard to spot by there is a small sign outside. The burritos were flavorful and the service was pretty quick. They had forgotten the avocado in one of our burritos but overall it's a good spot.“
“Great service and very accommodating. The tacos were delicious and a perfect base for the amazing salsas & toppings. The habanero salsa is my personal favorite. It is reddish orange and has slightly creamy texture. It is definitely spicy so proceed with caution. All of the salsas were flavorful. The burrito was perfectly balanced and a generous portion. Great quality & great service! If you get the burrito they let you fill it up with the toppings before wrapping it up for you. A great addition to Summit County. I'm looking forward to trying the nachos and Birria tacos next time.“
“The food is so good here. The service is great and they have a drivethrough if you don't want to get out of your car. The chicken is the best in town. So much flavor, juicy and good portion size for your money. My daughter loves the Mexican sodas.“
“We went here at lunchtime, and my husband ordered steak fajitas, and I ordered a chili relleno with rice and beans. The food was delicious. They also served us salsas, one mild, and the other a little spicy, with chips. Both were tasty. Portions were generous, and we liked everything served.“
“I love this place but they are never open any more. I have gone probably 6 times recently and they have only been open once during posted hours. I’ve called their phone number and never get an answer. Left a voicemail asking when they are open and for a return call and they never got back to me.“
“Well, real bacon lovers of the world, you won't be disappointed with their bacon breakfast burrito. We stopped here for breakfast during actual breakfast hours. We ate inside and it was clean and the staff were friendly. Awesome salsa bar and the carrots & jalapeño's are spot on! Not over cooked or undercooked just perfect. We had breakfast burritos & fresh tortillas and were happy and warm after being outside at 9:00 am for soccer game in the rain. Easy stop and close to the highway.“
“First time going here. Normally, I go to betos or ranchoritos but decided to try this place since it was so close to my home. The price is a little cheaper, so I was willing to give it a shot. Got the Carnitas plate and the shrimp nachos. Both dishes were great and the size was good. They season their rice and beans differently than others, and I really like how they did it. I think they could've used more cinnamon in the horchata, but it was still good. Another thing that caught my attention was the size of the cups they put the sauce into. Easily double the size than that of their competitors, which I love because I'm a sauce lover. I'd recommend trying this place if you haven't before.“
“Our waitress was super nice! I can't remember her name but she was fast and checked on us frequently, the food was outstanding especially for the price and we will definitely be back, we went on valentines and you'd think it would have taken forever but they were all quick and extremely kind. 10/10“
“On a whim we stopped in for a late lunch today and we were so glad we did! This is a small restaurant tucked into Union Square. It’s a fun, warm and inviting atmosphere. It was clean and neatly organized as well. The staff were friendly, professional and accommodating. Now, the food was excellent. We started with the nachos. The perfect amount of cheese and jalapeños. The chips were just right.I had quesabirria, which were delicious. The Birria was perfect and one of the best I’ve ever had. My partner had the Birria burrito, which was equally as good. Portion sizes were good for the quality. We will definitely be back.“
