El Coyote Charro | Mexican is a hole in the wall spot that serves amazing, authentic Mexican food. The food is a 10/10, described as absolutely delicious and memorable. It is considered the best Mexican food in Utah, even by people from Southern California who eat quality Mexican food daily. The restaurant offers fresh homemade Pinto beans on the house. However, the restaurant has changed in recent years. It used to be much better kept and popping, but now it needs a real good cleaning and is often empty. Prices have increased, with a burrito now costing 10 bucks, and portions for items like the Al pastor fries can feel small for $12. The tacos come with just meat and a corn tortilla, with a little toppings bar available. Despite the dirtiness and price hikes, the food itself remains good and authentic. It is a place on a "need to know basis" for those seeking genuine Mexican flavors.
