“I've been wanting to try this place for a while, and I'm so glad I finally did!! I got the Guacho loaded fries with steak and they were so good! The fries themselves were seasoned perfectly with a crispy outside and a soft, fluffy inside. The sauce ratio was right on so it was flavorful without making the fries soggy. And the amount of steak was generous! I also tried the caramel churros for dessert. They were super yummy! They were crisp, but not too crunchy, and perfectly sweet! I definitely recommend and will be going back!“

“Don't expect anything more than a glorified indoor taco cart, plastic utensils, plates, patched walls, and leaky sinks. This is my new favorite taco spot; they have all the meats I mean all of them and the flavor is beautifully simple; that's the draw for me the salsa in the salsa cart was just as flavorful and adds to the simplistic nature, I tried to get one of each taco, but there are too many I couldn't find my favorite they were all so so good, I can't wait to get back to try the rest, I did have a torta, and wow the bread was not too much it was just right it had a great texture. The flavor was on point, the staff was so friendly and had the best smile, and the ambiance was clean where it mattered. Bottom line, if you like tacos and can appreciate what this is, it will be your favorite.“

“Small place, big flavors. They don’t play here, had some huevos rancheros and the menudo. Feels like walking into my mom’s kitchen, I even started getting flashbacks of the chancla and my mom yelling at me to get out of the way. Stop by, no regrets.“

“The food was pretty good for traditional Mexican food. The chile relano didn’t have much for stuffing, but the flavor was good. The salsa was excellent and the enchilada sauce was tasty but a little bland. This place seems to be more mild on spice that I typically like. Cost was pretty high here for what you get. The only thing that was not good was the Mexican fried ice cream and the slow service.“

“I don’t usually write reviews but these tacos are special. I had the sampler of tacos and anticipated that out of 4 tacos, I might strike gold with 1 or 2. As I ate each one I realized I didn’t just like them all—I LOVED them. The location is not great but the food is spectacular. I will be back regularly. Thank you.“

“When I have extreme cravings for chilaquiles I go here. I love the choices of meat that you can put on top and you can get eggs and you can get red or green sauce. Everything was packed with flavor. The two salsas those were actually tasty the red one was very picoso. The chile relleno the sauce had so much flavor. And nothing was cold. The bisteak was seasoned perfectly it tasted so bomb. The egg and the chilaquiles complimented each other, the sauce I couldn't get enough of it. The rice and beans even had flavor. Everything was packaged nice and neat. These pictures do not do the food Justice at all. Was a very nice comfort food late lunch. I don't eat here as often as I like but when I do I have a good experience.“

“The best place in Utah for authentic Mexican style chicken and rice (pollo con arroz) or just a quick simple but crazy delicious meal. That guy that said pollo loco is better is most likely not used to authentic food :) We get the quarter chicken and 3 tacos and share. I will pay anything for that green sauce too, best jalapeño salsa I’ve ever had! This place is incredible!“

“This place was amazing. The Biria Pizza was awesome and had a ton of condiment selections to pick from at the condiments bar. Fed 4 people for not a ton of money and was one of the best Mexican dishes i've ever had.Lots of Latin style drink options like Jarritos and smoothies to pick from.Parking kinda sucks, plan out your route using the satelite view to understand how this place works.Dietary restrictions: May be hard to get non cross contaminated food here. I believe they can withhold certain parts of the recipe for you.Parking: Park on the street or in the back. Watch out for the parking signs.Kid-friendliness: Lots of kid friendly options to pick from.Wheelchair accessibility: May be tight but you should be able to fit.“

“We love good Mexican food and this is a top one for us. Really good people and really good food. I grew up in Ogden and just recently found this amazing food and will be returning again. And for the people who have gave them bad reviews, those people just don’t have good taste.“

“Was skeptical when I first walked in as it was just after noon and I was the only one there - needless to say I was seated right away - the waitress was very helpful in explaining items on the menu and telling me what dishes are popular (as this was my first time here) - their chips are really good, have had better salsa, but my lunch was really yummy - I had the chile relleno and enchilada plate - definetly would frequent this place if it was closer to where I live (and if I go to ogden frequently, but I don't) - still skeptical of why it was empty !“

“This is the best little Mexican place in the Ogden/Riverdale area, for my money. The food is fantastic, especially the carne asada. The street taco special plate is outstanding, and the chulavista nachos are amazing. Great food, reasonable prices, excellent service. It's a regular lunch stop for me.“

“Got the birria burrito, chicken burrito and their nachos. Was satisfied with everything! The rice is delicious. 2 complaints, the red sauce is EXTREMELY spicy! 15 minutes later and my husbands mouth including mine is still on fire. The birria sauce is super watery.Regardless, we will return.“

“I keep seeing reviews that food and service is getting worse. I’ve been there to witness the service (meaning the wait time), takes a long time. However, once you’re sat, the service is good. The food on the other hand, still tastes good, as it always has. I haven’t noticed a big drop in food quality/taste as others have noticed.“

“Ok. Seriously. Come here and just eat their chips and salsa. What an amazing flavor. The salsa they bring to the table is called arranchera. And it is the best salsa I've ever had. You're gonna be tempted to drink what's left... Just saying. If you want more than the complimentary serving, though, you'll be paying $4.99.The tacos Al pastor are nearly perfect. The pork isn't rubbery or like jerky. It is perfectly cooked alongside the pineapple. The carne asada taco was a close second in deliciousness. The enchilada, beans and rice were very good as well. Apparently the fish tacos are amazing but we didn't try them this time.We will be back!“
“I remember these guys from Christmas Village selling their dollar tacos. They were so good, & after stopping by today, I'm glad I remembered they were here. I saw that they sell 2 tacos/$1.50 on Wednesday's! Yum. Super affordable and great flavor and service. Love it!“

“Food and service are great. Unfortunately, they don't have a good exhaust hood .. so you will stink as a tacos after dining in. It's definitely too smoky in the restaurant. I hope they will upgrade their kitchen because the food is delicious. Take out is better“

“I bought the large pizza with 10 toppings (the Itame) and got a garlicky bread thing on the side and the price was awesome and it tastes delicious.Don't bother with their website though, it looks like it was made a long time ago and it doesn't have a menu on there as far as I could tell :PEdit* at this point I've tried every pizza and I love them all.“

“Don’t let this “scary looking restaurant” scare you away. We usually get street tacos from the street cart on 26th and Washington Blvd. Lately no one there. So, we decided to give this company a try. WOW! YUMMMMY!While it may not be the prettiest place to dine at or (take out in my case) the service was was amazing, and their little tacos were packed with flavor. We purchased 5 different ones and were impressed with all 5 of the meats we chose. They definitely earned our repeat business. Our new favorite local street tacos.Tacos La Tapatia - thank you for being in business. You really are a hidden gem. Those tacos were amazing. We could literally taste the love you put into your food. See you again soon! Muchas Gracias por todo! Nos AMOS los tacos muchismo!“

“You have got to try this place! We finally went and thoroughly enjoyed it. Their specialty is Birria, and you can get it on almost anything. The open salsa bar has anything you would want to add to it.The atmosphere is a bit rustic, but the food more than makes up for that, and the service is very friendly.“

“They give you chips, salsa, and bean dip for the table! Salsa was perfect- not too spicy and chips were thin, crispy, and super fresh. The frozen pina colada was the best I've had in awhile. My taco was delicious, as well. There is plenty of seating for larger groups, too. I'll be back, for sure!“

“Honestly the BEST breakfast burrito and Chicken taco I've ever had. The tortillas for the tacos are crisped to perfection, not soggy or greasy and the flavor of the chicken paired with cilantro and the green salsa are worth the 20 minute drive. The breakfast burrito is full of more than just potatoes (large size and easily able to split between 2 people) quick service, friendly service and a fair price“

“This restaurant has been a family favorite for many years. I find myself having cravings for their chicken burrito chile verde, and their El senor Ron chimichanga is so delicious. Plus, they have a self-serve salsa bar with mango, red, and many other varieties of salsas. I feel like leaving home right now and having lunch at Javier's. See you there!“

“The tacos were delicious and the service was pretty fast. We walked in right as they opened and ordered two plates and four tacos to go. Everything was packaged nicely, and the food was still hot and fresh when we ate it. It came with some green semi-spicy salsa on the side. We ended up spending around $30 for three people.“

“Authentic Flavors with a Side of Patience: El Paisa Grill, Ogden, UtahMy recent visit to El Paisa Grill in Ogden, Utah, was a delightful immersion into authentic Mexican cuisine, though not without its challenges. The star of the show is undoubtedly their signature dish, the Molcajete Supreme, a culinary masterpiece cooked in volcanic rock. Featuring a tantalizing mix of shrimp, chicken, steak, Mexican cheese, and an exquisite tomatillo sauce, all grilled with onions, this dish alone makes the visit worthwhile. It's easily the best Mexican food I've ever had, bursting with flavors and cooked to perfection. The staff at El Paisa Grill was friendly, adding to the welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant. However, the popularity of the place meant a crowded dining area upon our arrival. The wait time was significant – 30 minutes just to be seated and about an hour for the food to arrive. Despite this, the overall experience was enjoyable enough to merit a five-star rating. An added bonus was visiting on karaoke night, which brought a lively and fun element to the evening. The live music and the chance to participate in singing added to the vibrant ambiance of the restaurant. The place is also kid-friendly, making it a great option for family outings.Another highlight is their all-you-can-eat taco buffet available Mondays through Fridays from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., offering a variety of choices for taco enthusiasts. The chips and salsa were also notably tasty. The owner, Jose, brings a personal touch to the restaurant. His passion for his heritage and the story behind the Molcajete Supreme, originating from Jalisco, Mexico, adds depth and authenticity to the dining experience. In conclusion, El Paisa Grill has quickly become one of our favorite local restaurants, and we plan on being regular visitors. Despite the wait times, the quality of the food, the fun atmosphere, and the genuine passion of the owner make it a must-visit spot for anyone craving authentic Mexican cuisine in Ogden.Parking: Plenty of parking but it should be repavedKid-friendliness: Great place for kids“
“Very kind staff. Very clean. The food hit home. I'm from Texas and my parents are from Mexico. The food was delicious. I had the coctel de camaron. Both the tostadas and coctel are super fresh and tasty. My fiancee had the enchiladas. Delicious. Also had an asada taco and the meat was marinated perfectly. Will definitely be going back soon.“

“Wow!!! This is really good authentic Mexican food. If you know, you know. The place is a little meager and their english is not that good, but they are super friendly and polite. Most importantly, they can cook. It is the food that will have you coming back again and again. Try everything. You'll end up having several reasons to come back. I now eat lunch there every Wednesday.“
