Out of the two places that were unique, I hate going to breakfast places that have "Market Price" on the menu for a breakfast item. So I chose to see what Joe's Cafe was about. I was so surprised to find out this cafe was a fun place to go. I was greeted at the door and escorted to a seat while the owner laughed and joked. He made sure we had a great breakfast experience. He kept coming out to make sure we were attended to regularly, and was humorous the whole time. The meal was great. So, we canceled the order & spoke to the human at the cash register, who told us when inventory starts getting low, the kiosk drops menu items. She (at the register) punched in our order for the special, asked us to sign the receipt (which asked for a 15%, 20%, 25%, or other amt tip), and we seated ourselves, picked up our order ourselves, ate by ourselves, & cleaned up our table ourselves. Food was pretty good. But prices were very high. Owners: Pay your employees fair wages and quit screwing the customers out of more and more money so you can have less and less staff do half the work.“
