“Ok this place is legit. We just got take out but we'll be going back and having brunch there for sure. My friend got the French toast meal. Straightforward regular French toast. No bells or whistles, just really good bread dipped on a really good custard base and pan fried. Scrambled eggs were perfect and the bacon looked amazing. The fact that she was almost euphoric while eating it says it all.
I got the corned beef hash. OMG. Best corned beef hash I've had in a long time. Chunks of homemade corned beef shredded among potatoes, Bell peppers, onions and mushrooms. And over easy eggs that even after a nearly 10 minute drive home still had runny yokes. The only way it could have been better would have been to eat there and indulge in some should beverages with our brunch. 10/10 will be making this a regular brunch location.
Like I said we did take out, but the atmosphere makes us want to go back and never leave.“

“I've been here several times, always a treat, and have never left a review. Located in great part of town, just love 9th and 9th. The gelateria itself has just an assortment of arts and ceramics and decorations. The seating area is super cozy. Some tables and chairs and some couches - that could swallow you whole if you let them they are so squishy. The gelato is great, very creamy. I think the best gelato in Salt Lake. The serving size is great too, they usually pack it in and over the top of the cup. Thanks to the owners and workers of this shop!“

To our complete surprise, dinner was absolutely delicious — one of the best Indian meals we have had (and we have had a number of them in New York City and elsewhere). Appetizers, soup, naan, a vegetable curry (split between the two of us), a dessert, and beer came to a little over $40. “I absolutely love Cafe Shambala and highly recommend stopping by! Every time we host family or guests visiting, we bring them to eat here. Both the lunch buffet and the dinner menu are delicious. Our favorites are the spiced potatoes, the marinated chicken, the momos, and the traditional rice pudding dessert. My husband and I have never had less than a 5-star experience, especially with the excellent service. My only suggestion for improvement would be to more clearly post a drink menu during lunch, specifically for the refreshing mango lassi and other tasty drinks available. Last time I was there, the only posting of this information was a faded printer paper taped on the outside windows.“

We were greated by the manager, who started us off with waters and our drink order from the moment he sat us. He was delightful, had a great smile, and was clearly happy to pitch in! Our server, Sarah, could not have been sweeter! She checked in on us often, made sure we were well taken care of, and had such a lovely presence!
