We’re both New Yorkers and used to high prices and a certain rudeness level in servers but were pleasantly surprised - the coffee was affordable and the barista (I believe her name is Mackenzie) was exceptionally nice and friendly despite being a fellow New Yorker herself. “It’s heating up in the DMV, which means I’m back to my warm weather go-to: Via Volcán’s Iced Flash Brew. It’s the perfect pick-me-up on a hot day—bright, refreshing, and beautifully balanced. That, or the Espresso Tonic, and you really can’t go wrong with either. Both are made with Via Volcán’s caturra bean, brought straight from their family farm in Panama and roasted in-house right here in Old Town. The medium roast is vibrant and fresh, with fruity notes, just the right acidity, and a smooth cocoa finish. This is hands down the best coffee in Old Town. And don’t forget to head upstairs! That’s where the magic happens (you can actually see where the coffee is roasted) and where you’ll find extra seating tucked away above the buzz.“

“The café is very aesthetic, looks really beautiful and is cozy and tidy. The staff is friendly and they have a variety of food options. I had their oatmeal & quinoa bowl, which I personally didn’t like, but that’s my preference. Their matcha on the other hand was good. I will definitely go there again and try other breakfast options🍵✨“

“I am not an egg person. I chose this location cause I saw they had a non egg bagel option. When there, they were out of one of the ingredients so I had to get an egg bagel. BUT IT WAS DELICIOUS. They made me an egg white version of the sandwich which is OFF MENU. Very accommodating and again soooo good even though I generally dislike eggs.

The coffee was delicious. Which is my number one thing.

It was a very cute cafe. It got HOT though because they roasted the coffee beans right there in front of you. Which was also pretty cool to see.

Service was pretty slow. But overall good. Especially considering I ordered off menu.

“Been going here for a couple years and love it! Always so cozy and Ron is so friendly and willing to teach me about coffee. Great selection and tasty brews.

I will say the few times i have been and it wasn't Ron working the coffee definitely took a quality hit. But I'm sure with time that will change!

“This location is very nice. Especially the outdoor seating facing the street. The staff here is excellent, nice and helpful. My chai was pretty good and it's cool that they have a few drinks on draft. I haven't seen that in many coffee shops definitely a neat feature. I didn't try any food so my review is only regarding service and drinks.“
