“We came through Roanoke and ate at Hollywood Restaurant & Bakery. Food and service were fabulous but I want to rave about their customer service after we left. I called a few days later because I had left a jacket on the back of my chair. I asked if I could pay to have it shipped to me. They offered to ship it for free. It arrived at my home in Chesapeake, VA in great condition. Thank you so much. That is true customer service.“

“Gluten allergy here and a vegetarian . We both were able to eat here. Wanted the duck with risotto but told there were no substitutions. Bummer. Nonetheless the chef was excellent and food sourced freshly. The service was good. The food and service gets it five stars but they need to allow substitutions. I get why they don't though — it was very busy. Parking was confusing cause the lot is down the street and a lot of spots say LUNA in the parking spot but customers for Fortunato can park there.“

“Just moved to Roanoke and have to find new places to go for dinner. Have been there for dinner tonight and would recommend this place. I had the pepper steak with white rice and vegetables and a spring roll. My husband had the Bai Lok Lak. All was very tasty. Restaurant is clean and Mario is super friendly and attentive . Will definitely come back.“

“This was first time at Lucky and we were very impressed! Our reservation was early so we could make a show, and the staff had everything running very smoothly. We enjoyed a romantic window table where our server, Jack, helped us choose dishes based on our appetite level. First up was the pimento cheese board with bread and pickles—very nice and a generous portion of delicious pimento cheese spread. It could have served four people. I had the fried okra starter and found it to be not only perfectly fried, but very creative with the succotash and drizzled toppings. My husband had the fried chicken which was also fried exactly right and I enjoyed the trout entree with Carolina Gold rice. Every single thing about our meal was great. A bit noisy in the bar seating area, but only because the bartenders were turning out expertly crafted cocktails. I highly recommend the “Evacuate your Sleep” drink, which was a playful tequila riff on espresso martini. Well done, Lucky! See you next time we are back in Roanoke!“

“After participating in the Sunflower Festival, we stopped by this unfamiliar restaurant on the way home. What we discovered was a hidden gem of great food, southern hospitable service, all at a very reasonable price.
The food options were plentiful and delicious. The service was friendly and attentive.
The only regret we have is that this place isn't closer to home. But I anticipate we will return as often as we are in the area.
We encourage you to stop by enjoy. You won't be disappointed.“

“I’d have to say with all the breweries in the area this is hands down the best. Amazing beer, great staff and people. The surrounding breweries are great don’t get me wrong but it seems that they have turned into what seems like a kids play ground. This one is not. People enjoy relaxing and having a beer or two and a great conversation without having kids going balls to the wall screaming.“

“The only Chinese restaurant I prefer to eat at in Roanoke. I like their yellow fried rice better than the typical fried rice found at other places soaked in soy sauce, grease, or cooked too long. Their food is always consistent and tastes fresher.“

“As advertised! Good times. Perfect hole in the wall. Great food. Good people. We found this during a camping trip looking at places to go that were open late. Good times did not disappoint. When our waitress sparked a smoke behind the counter we knew instantly it was about to be some awesome food and “a good time”. The lady immediately helped us and we still talk about that night to this day.“

“I have probably eaten here 100 times over the years and have never ever been disappointed. Service is always good and quality of the food is always on point. The salads are the best and are huge and I never get tired of pulled chicken or pulled pork and the portions are always great. The outside seating is large and the place is always clean. “I have never had a bad experience or meal at this location and I’ve been eating here and at the owners previous location for almost 20 years. I’ve tried multiple things on the menu and have yet to be disappointed. My top favorites include the Pha Ram Long Song (best meal) and Threes Company! The Cashew Chicken, Massaman Curry, Teriyaki Chicken, and Panang Curry are all excellent as well! By far, the best Thai food in town! Check any of these meals out and I sincerely doubt you’ll be disappointed.“

“On Saturday, June 17, 2023, my husband, Bill, and I hosted our 80th Birthday Party on the Patio at your lovely location. We made plans through your Manager, Adrian, and he was most helpful. Our servers were Ashli and Morgan B. They were outstanding and definitely helped to make our party FANTASTIC and a success! We had 44 adults and 4 children in attendance, and the service was over the top excellent. The food was delicious and was served in a very timely manner. All of our guests were more than pleased with the food and the service. I have never seen service to this many people so professional and timely. These two young ladies were professional and fun, and treated all of our guests as if they were "their" gusts, wanting to give them the best service ever. In fact, many of our guests commented on their professionalism, and the quality of the food, and how they would return here to have future meals. We eat here often and ALWAYS find the selections well prepared, tasty, and delivered in a timely manner. I recommend this Macado's to anyone expecting a great meal in a fun atmosphere. Thank you.“
