“We came through Roanoke and ate at Hollywood Restaurant & Bakery. Food and service were fabulous but I want to rave about their customer service after we left. I called a few days later because I had left a jacket on the back of my chair. I asked if I could pay to have it shipped to me. They offered to ship it for free. It arrived at my home in Chesapeake, VA in great condition. Thank you so much. That is true customer service.“

“Just moved to Roanoke and have to find new places to go for dinner. Have been there for dinner tonight and would recommend this place. I had the pepper steak with white rice and vegetables and a spring roll. My husband had the Bai Lok Lak. All was very tasty. Restaurant is clean and Mario is super friendly and attentive . Will definitely come back.“

“I was expecting the meal to be good, but not THAT good. Everything was outstanding. The chili crisp burrata was a must-get appetizer as well as the roasted olives which were so warm and buttery… chefs kiss. Both pasta dishes we got were perfectly cooked, brilliantly flavored, and proportioned beautifully.
Also a huge shoutout to the bar for having $5 mocktails! The bartenders made me the most delicious mocktail I may have ever had.“

“Been going to Paul’s for over thirty years. Never, ever had a bad or even so-so meal there. The owners are there, they will get to know you and are always trying to please your eating experience. “Hubby and I had dinner at the bar. Menu is creative, fried green tomato BLT sliders and savory mushroom pot pie. Everything was super fresh with attention to delivering highest quality. Mixologist Taylor is on top of his game and was a pleasure to hang with at the bar. His pisco sour was *chef's kiss*. Consistently one of our favorite spots!“

“My two boys, my husband, and I just enjoyed the most delicious breakfast at North Star Restaurant. The staff couldn’t have been friendlier, the customers were amazingly warm, and the food brought back memories of mornings with my grandma. We can’t wait to stop here again on future drives to PA. “The absolute best place. Starr Hill in Roanoke is the friendliest best brewery in town. Since hiring Shannon things have totally turned around for the better. Shannon, Donovan, Rafe and George are the best of the best staff anywhere, they are like friends you have always had. Everytime you walk in they call you by name and make you feel so very welcome. Matter of fact I was in there the other day, sitting alone and was invited to join a few others at the bar. After making new friends I left several hours and lots of beer later, had a blast and made new friends. There is always something for everyone and you don’t have to do it all. Pick and choose what you want, you are never excluded. Not everything is for all but so much variety, never a dull moment. Beer and company is the best in town. It’s a “Place where everyone knows your name” just like to show “Cheers”. It will always be my go to community place to unwind. Thanks for ALWAYS making things so much fun.“

“The only Chinese restaurant I prefer to eat at in Roanoke. I like their yellow fried rice better than the typical fried rice found at other places soaked in soy sauce, grease, or cooked too long. Their food is always consistent and tastes fresher.“

“I ride my motorcycle to this bar to play pool and eat lunch or dinner every chance I get which isn't as much as I would like. I love it I usually get a mushroom Swiss burger which is delicious hand patted and served with a pile of fries or onion rings fried perfectly in what seems to always be clean grease. The bartenders are pretty and nice everybody's very friendly some people do smoke in there so if you're allergic to that there's an outdoor area or you can distance yourself from the bar. I love it. It is easily the best place around. some nights they have music or karaoke and there are two pool tables.“

“Don’t judge a book by its cover! The unassuming building might make you think they are closed but what’s inside is a great food! After trying pho a handful of times I thought it just wasn’t for me. A friend convinced me to give it one last try at Pho Viet Nam and I’m thankful he did. Seriously good and the broth was fantastic! I will be back and if you have tried the Pho here you are missing out!“

“Our first time having lunch at Wasabi's and were very impressed. We love sushi and are always looking for good restaurants so we'll be coming back again. The quality of the fish was extremely high. “I have never had a bad experience or meal at this location and I’ve been eating here and at the owners previous location for almost 20 years. I’ve tried multiple things on the menu and have yet to be disappointed. My top favorites include the Pha Ram Long Song (best meal) and Threes Company! The Cashew Chicken, Massaman Curry, Teriyaki Chicken, and Panang Curry are all excellent as well! By far, the best Thai food in town! Check any of these meals out and I sincerely doubt you’ll be disappointed.“

“Absolutely, hands down one of the best restaurants I have had the pleasure of dining in. From the very friendly and helpful staff to one of the cleanest restaurants I have seen. While in town on October 24th and the 25th, had dinner on Friday and was so impressed, I had to go back Saturday before leaving. Needless to say, when I return to Roanoke I will be staying in the same location to only have this restaurant 3 blocks away.“
