I have not experienced good bread after being diagnosed until NOW. I cant express in words how absolutely delicious the bread is. It has absolutely opened my eyes into what is possible in a gluten free environment. I also dont want to forget to mention how incredible the sweets were. “If you have not tried Stave and Cork, you definitely need to!! The owners and staff are super nice and the atmosphere is great! Love their sandwiches (prosciutto, fresh mozzarella and fig jam?! 🤤) and their charcuterie boards are perfect. You can choose the wines for your flights. I can’t recommend them enough!!!”

The breakfast menu isn’t the standard diner lineup. There’s some creativity here. The biscuits are the headline: flaky, substantial, clearly made with care (and lard-the right way). The grits were creamy, well-seasoned, and exactly what you hope for in the South.

But the food isn’t the only reason to stop by. The staff treats you like you’ve been coming in for years.

If I lived in Roanoke, this would be a regular place.”

“Leonore’s Pizza is fantastic - I haven’t had anything there that wasn’t absolutely delicious! We are “wing people” and I honestly think Leonore’s has the best wings in town and they’re HUGE!!! You get the biggest bang for your buck with those and they’re SOOOO worth it! Every time we go in to place an order, we are greeted so warmly by the owner and he is ALWAYS smiling! You can tell that he truly loves providing delicious food to everyone who comes in. On our last visit, he recommended we try his homemade eclair and all I can say is WOW - I’d keep on going just for that alone!
