“Have been here about 5–6 times now and usually order the steak frites during happy hour. It’s always been great, which is why tonight was a little disappointing. The steak was cut much thicker than on our previous visits (normally it’s thinly sliced), and it was actually pretty hard to cut. My mom ordered it for the first time because mine always looked so good, and unfortunately she had the same experience. It was still flavorful, just not nearly as enjoyable as the thinner slices we’ve had before. Hopefully this was just an off night with the steak cuts because everything else here has always been really good. The lobster mac and cheese was outstanding as always, and we also got bread before dinner this time—which we don’t remember getting before—and it was delicious. That was a really nice added touch. Overall we still highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!“

“Had a great time at Outback on Saturday 4/11/2026, The bartender was amazing she was very attentive and made sure my friend a I were taken care of, and this guy named Bob too, not sure if he is a regular but she made it a very welcoming atmosphere my friend and I will defiantly be back.“

“One of the best places to eat in Charlottesville. Staff is always friendly and the managers do a great job making sure everything is going well for each table. The food came out exactly how it was order and the drinks from the bar were excellent. Definitely worth the money!“

“We had the best experience at Aberdeen Barn. The Oysters, Filet Minion and NY Strip steak was cooked to perfection! I have never had a steak that was cooked perfectly to what I ordered. The waiter Mike was outstanding. He was attentive to us and he anticipated our needs before we knew what we may have wanted. The entire staff was attentive to our needs so we had no wants. I would highly recommend this 5 Star restaurant for the wonderful staff and delicious food!“
