“Clifton Cafe is our new favorite evening spot on the weekends. We’ve been customers since the original owners opened it years ago, but until this past fall we did more to go orders than dine in since the service and time to prep food was often slow and unpredictable. Now we go almost every week. We’ve noticed big improvements since they expanded their kitchen and redesigned the bar area. Their new pull up bar is beautiful and spacious. The new owners and management are great too! We love the evening staff as well, especially Ian and Nicole. They are very personable, accommodating, and attentive. They have great happy hour specials from 3-6 and make the best margaritas and espresso martinis. Some of our favorite dinner items include the crab dip, Mediterranean salad, cuban sandwich, burgers, crab cakes, quiche specials, banana pudding, and too many crepes to name! We also appreciate that they have become more family friendly. We had a last minute party of 14 on a Friday evening (half of which were children ages 1-11) and they didn’t hesitate to pull some tables together in a private nook to accommodate our large group (again thanks to Ian and Nicole). We noticed they finally got a changing table in the large bathroom, which they are about to install. Our kids are past that stage, but there were several times when they were little that a changing table would have been helpful.“

“We had the best tour and tasting yesterday with Dana. Incredibly knowledgeable, great history, great wines, excellent example of VA agrotourism. Budget 1 hr 45 min for the experience. I will be taking visiting friends here for this tour!“

“If you are gluten intolerant this may be the beer for you. I have been gluten intolerant for 13 years now. I used to enjoy a beer here and there. Some of the gluten free ones out there are eh, at best. This beer has a full body taste. I did not have any issues drinking it. Now, that being said if you are gluten intolerant you must know yourself really well. It may not be for you, but than again it may. I am just excited that I had no issues and enjoyed a full tasting beer!“

“We drove about 25 minutes to get to this place and let me tell ya, it was definitely worth the drive 👍 We’re from sunny (and hot) Florida, so being surrounded by ice cream becomes the norm. I was craving it on this cold evening and was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience.

It’s now one of my top ice cream places. The quality and price really can’t be beat. When you’re so used to being charged $5.75 per scoop, seeing $6.95 for a flight of 4 is incredible. My bf and I got the strawberry cheesecake sundae and the flight of four. It had pumpkin cheesecake, the bees knees, brownie bomb, and bones & stones. My personal favorite was the bees knees followed by the bones & stones. The taste was creamy, rich, but not overly sweet. Perfect 😋

There was a small line but it seemed to go so fast I didn’t even have time to make up my mind on a flavor! The staff is nice and I loved the cow out front. Next time we find ourselves in Virginia, we’ll definitely be coming back. This place lived up to all the hype!“

“I am disappointed to find out that it seems that Farm Brew Live is phasing out Country Music Acts. I think it is important that we keep a variety some of these Country Music artists are absolutely amazing. To name a few Melissa Quinn Fox, Sela Campbell, and many more. I think eliminating does not do this venue justice. Plenty room for all Music. I love variety. please reconsider.“

“Not sure how to graciously ask this question, but I am usually taken back when I see foodies without prices on their menu. It makes me think those preparing the menu may be arrogant to believe that price means nothing to patrons. Price matters. Are foods and drinks priced too high to be transparent? Are all patrons so well off that price to them really does not matter? I will sometimes pass over a place if they hide their prices, just because there are so many others that do not hide them. The atmosphere just by itself deserves a reluctant visit.“

“One of my favorite restaurants and my go-to place when I want Asian food. I crave the ramen here; it is that good! The place is well decorated and the bar is super cool. They also have a specialty menu that changes regularly and brunch options on the weekend so there's always new items to try. Their drinks are good too, especially the warmed options! I always recommend this place to anyone traveling through Old Town Manassas area.“

“Chef Tan Chinese Restaurant is situated at Danor Plaza, near Maple Avenue in Vienna, VA, serving authentic and flavorful Hunan cuisine with well-balanced flavors. Its exterior is modest, but the interior offers a spacious, modern ambiance with friendly service. The restaurant boasts a diverse menu and generous portions. I appreciate discovering a Chinese eatery that serves traditional dishes, avoiding westernized or Americanized variants that tend to be overly sweet.

Some dishes we loved and highly recommend:
1. Steamed pork dumplings, truly homemade with authentic flavor.
2. Pressure-cooked pork belly: tender, juicy, and mildly spicy.
3. Iron plate Mongolian beef: similar to Korean bulgogi but less sweet and saucy—very good!
4. General Tso’s chicken: a classic dish with chicken balls in a subtly sweet and mildly spicy sauce.
5. Pumpkin seafood tofu soup: sizable enough to share, with balanced flavors from pumpkin and seafood that weren’t overpowering
6. Fried rice: among the best in Northern Virginia, with a deep, savory flavor from stir-fried onions.“

“If you enjoy tasty Mediterranean cuisine, Blazin Chicken & Gyro is a must-try! The gyro sandwich was stuffed with meat and a great balance of spices. The servings are ample, and everything tastes fresh. The staff are courteous and make you feel perfectly at home.“

“This is such a great Mexican restaurant in South Riding and also family owned. The prices are great and portions large. Salsa is amazing! That is one thing that keeps me coming back. The only thing I’d work on is better crafted margaritas. They have the frozen in the machine that are OK.“

“After hearing of Bunnyman for months, I decided to hit it up with a few friends on a Friday night. It did not disappoint at all. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is serene with great music. The music volume is perfect too so you can still socialize without having to shout. My favorite amenities though, are the self-pour feature, the diversity of beer flavors, and the ease of paying. The taps are really easy to use and to keep track of how much your bar tab is accumulating. On top of that, you don't have to wait at all for a refill- just head on up to the tap and pour, amazing system! The Irish Red beer was my go-to, and it was very pleasing to see that on tap when it's not actually Oktoberfest season, (I can never seem to find it most times of the year). We will all definitely be back, as well as looking forward to visiting their Lorton location! Keep up the great work and the awesome selection of beers, mad props!“

“Came for dessert after dinner at the plaza next door, and we got the Red Bean Bingsoo. Love that they use shaved milk, and not shaved ice 🥹 it is on the pricier end for the amount of bingsoo you get (the V-shaped bowl is slightly deceptive), but every bite was worth it.

Saw that there was a self-serve ramen bar, so I’d definitely come back here with friends next time!“

“We CAN NOT say enough about Alison and her little team- it’s amazing what creative and scrumptious cakes come out of that little team! We were so pleased with our wedding cake; the flavors, texture, and uniqueness of what she delivered! The cake received rave reviews from all our guests & it was just stunning! Alison further accommodated our distant guests who joined us via Zoom and helped us send them some goodies and treats via a celebration box! Further, she even recommended our caterer and helped calm some anxious nerves about the dynamics of planning a wedding during a world pandemic! I can NOT recommend this little bake shop enough; Alison will be our go to baker for all our cake needs! PS- we highly recommend the funfetti with yuzu blackberry buttercream, and raspberry filling! “We had such a great meal and experience at Bing Bing Dumplings (formerly Panda) in Vienna! The place is super cute inside with fun panda décor...cozy, clean, and great for families. The owner and her family are so kind and welcoming, she even showed us how the dumplings are made while we waited!

The dumplings are incredible. They're huge, packed with delicious filling, and clearly homemade. Portions are generous and everything tastes fresh and flavorful. The cucumber salad was bright and refreshing too. Ordering on the tablet is easy, with photos to help guide you.

It’s the perfect spot for a quick, satisfying meal after running errands on Maple Ave, between kids’ sports, or just to enjoy delicious food made with love. Definitely a new Vienna favorite; we can’t wait to go back!“

The BBQ place was super good too ... I love to pair beer and bbq ... I am pretty sure that you find a sauce that you will like out of their options.

Gluten reduced beer is something that I have been more inclined to incorporate on my drinking because my body is progressing it differently nowadays.
