“Just a short 7 mile drive from our home, we stopped by on a whim tonight and are super glad we did. The Stacked IPA was wonderful, the views amazing with lots of outdoor seating, and the indoor atmosphere inviting and unique. We can’t wait to bring a group next time. “I want to start off by mentioning that my husband and I are “average” people. For anyone reading this review, I say that because I was a little nervous about how I would feel eating here. Well, I have never felt more comfortable at a restaurant in my life! The atmosphere was intimate, service excellent and the food was beyond what I can put into words! My husband immensely enjoyed hearing the “layers” & detail that was put into making each dish. Thanks to each and every one of the staff for making the whole experience amazing!”

“Revisited Jimm and his place and it is so refreshing that Sharp Rock is just as friendly, cozy, and generous (very good prices for the wine) as it was when I first visited, way back in 2001. Some Virginia wine fans who prefer a slicker, more corporate type of winery like Blue Valley or Barboursville may not appreciate the location. But this is the way Virginia wineries should be - off the beaten trail, a beautiful setting, counter tastings, and good prices. I can't imagine a better way to spend a warm afternoon. And they're located near Old Rag Mountain. But do your hike before visiting Sharp Rock. You won't want to leave.”
