“This place is a true local gem. Food is of very high quality, and everything is consistently cooked to perfection. Their consistency is actually really impressive - I’ve never been disappointed by a single thing, and I’ve eaten A LOT of their food. But everything is so good, so I haven’t really made my way outside of the same few items from their menu. The difference is that the staff actually care about their customers, and take pride in their food. It’s not so common these days, and is a pleasant surprise. It’s the reason I will always eat there.“

I also dine at Dennys in Bailey Crossroads in Falls Church Virginia many of times.I enjoy all there foods.The desserts and cocktails are good also.I highly recommend them!“

“I ate twice at the Tandem Restaurant and Bar for dinner as there are not many restaurants within walking distance from the Marriott and I did not feel like driving. The waiters were great and fairly prompt in getting our orders and dishes to the table. The food was just ok, I had the hamburger which was tasteless and I don't recommend. I had a pizza another night and that was good, not great but a good choice at the Tandem. I had a Cesar Salad both nights and both salads were very good so I recommend that.“

“This is the kind of place that you go to as a single person trying to get a quality meal without breaking the bank- you then take take someone there for a brunch date- further down the line you make it a regular place for you two. Flash forward you now have a family and introduce the kids to and they also love it. My point is this is the kind of place you will always go to and at every point in your life it will be there for you. I went with my girlfriend and now she's my wife and we still love it. When my Grandmother had severe dementia and didnt enjoy much she still loved going here and the staff and atmosphere gave her the feeling of being somewhere familiar and welcoming. New places opening up wont be like this which is why its so important to keep supporting City Diner- lets not make this a place that we only appreciate once its gone- its a place beyond the food- its a true family restaurant that has been there through multiple generations of my family.“

“Great food and service. Only negatives were parking and they were out of the 2 deserts we wanted. Parking lot is way too small, but not much they can do about it. Had to park down the road and walk. Service was excellent and food was great.“
