“Had the lunch special (5/7/2020) chicken biryani and veggie samosas. It was simply amazing. It’s definitely a meal to have when your missing your parents cooking.

Update: I had there beef kabob. The food after 4 years was still phenomenal. Tastes just like home. I’m not sure about these other haters. This is definitely a local favorite. Stick to the original recipes that I can vouch for. Anything else I can’t say because I haven’t tried it yet.“

“This unassuming and hole in the wall restaurant is the real deal and what a treat! Had friendly service and deliciously authentic super FRESH food, made to order from scratch. I could see the cook in the kitchen and she ran a very clean and organized kitchen. Think homecooking and you'll be happy with what you get. I enjoyed every bite, and the corn tortillas are as good as it gets. I'm looking forward to eating my leftovers tomorrow! ?“

“If you look in the urban dictionary for great “hole in the wall restaurant,” this is it! My wife and I just moved to the area and honestly have not found many restaurants that we would go back to. Family kebob our new go to for Indian.This is a small place with a few table and chairs and a small parking lot (free). The employees are extremely nice, talkative, and provided excellent service. The food was made to order and piping hot and fresh.My wife and I had: lamb kebob, lamb curry, and a side of their spinach. The spinach was amazing. I like that it is tasty but doesn’t have cream, which is typical. Very good.The lamb kebob is a huge serving and was the best dish there that we had. Followed by the lamb curry, which was also top-notch. I also liked their chickpea casserole. I would give the food a 10 out of 10.I would recommend maybe sprucing up the inside a little bit so that it would be more accommodating to people eating in, but this is definitely our go to moving forward and great for takeout.We paid about 47 bucks with a tip and had significantly leftovers. Great value! We will be back.“

It not only met but exceeded them. Mast-o Musir, yogurt dish with Persian dried shallot and rose petal, was exceptional— more elevated and nuanced than any we’ve had. The braised lamb shoulder which Yacine suggested was the undeniable highlight of the meal I which each dish was excellent. Tender and flavorful, it was paired beautifully with texture. It’s a signature dish that rivals the best we’ve ever had, bringing to mind the legendary Bo Ssam pork shoulder from David Chang’s Momofuku— bold, unforgettable, and expertly prepared. The Gormeh Sabzi, short rib stew with its delicious sour depth, was excellent but couldn’t quite match the lamb’s showstopping brilliance. Two very minor points. While the food and service are exceptional, the main dining room lighting would benefit from dimming. A water filtration water system could make a big difference as well. JOON has firmly secured its place as a must-visit dining destination for us. We can’t wait to return and explore more of the menu.“

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Afghan Restaurant Authentic Cuisine & Sheeryakh, and I must say, it was an incredible experience! From the moment we walked in, the hospitality was warm and welcoming. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, providing excellent customer service with a genuine smile.

Now, let’s talk about the food—absolutely delicious! Every dish was bursting with rich, authentic Afghan flavors. The kabobs were perfectly grilled, the rice was fragrant and fluffy, and the mantu were just incredible. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients and put a lot of love into their cooking.

“Approaching the place, it is super bright, which helps finding it as the restaurant is set back from the buildings around it. This also gave us a sense of safety walking in.
There was someone at the counter ready to assist us, but being our first time in, we opted for a kiosk, off to the right side, with a big and equally bright screen, displaying images of every dish. This was very helpful and made the ordering easy and quick, even for us newbies to the place.
We opted to take out. Already, in the car, the aroma of delicious food filled the air. Once at our place, we started opening the containers and wrappers, even the packaging was excellent, inside the plastic bag, a heavy-duty paper back, stapled to containers to prevent shifting and spilling during transport.
The food was utterly delicious, from simple salad, tzatziki sauce (some of the best I have tried anywhere), chickpeas, seasoned fries, shawarmas and kabob.
It would be 2 thumbs up but both my hands were busy.“

“I had a fantastic experience at Grill Kabob! The food is consistently top-notch, with the chicken and lamb combo being my favorite. The flavors are rich, and the ingredients are clearly of high quality. My only critique is that the cashier didn't seem particularly happy.“

“Pizza was good but not great, no different options compared to the rest! Also tried their vegi calzone, which was very doughy. Their French fries were much better. However, as soon as you enter the store, the smell of grease hits you. Kind of makes it unappetizing. There is a good amount of seating but part of it is stuffed with recycling boxes that makes the restaurant look untidy, looks like they don’t care about patrons wanting to dine-in. Customer service is sub-standard. Overall I would give it 3.5 stars.

Parking: There is only city street parking and that is not free. Also, very congested and difficult to find. Better to walk here.“

“Great potential for the falafel platter, with some missteps that keep it from being five stars.First, the good:- sauces were excellent (toum, shut)- dips were great (hummus, labneh, and a chickpea stew)- bread (shrak) was great- fries were great (served with cilantro)- onion/parsley garnish was very good but needed to be more of it- falafel was good- salata was pretty goodHere’s what can be improved:- the Persian style grilled tomato and grilled onion make no sense as a side for a falafel platter… it should either be served with tabbouleh or chopped raw tomatoes and onion, either of which add freshness and cut through the heavy sauces- speaking of tabbouleh, it was supposed to come with some but didn’t- the fries, falafel and chickpea stew were a little too salty- personal preference: I don’t like pickled beets in general very much, I didn’t like these pickled beets in particular very much, and I strongly feel that pickled cucumbers are superior on a falafelThe good parts about the platter were great. But, the actual falafel wrap was a little off, because it lacked fresh veggies. The sauce, the bread will keep me coming back, but I hope the owners take note of this feedback

“Nice kid friendly space with multiple very decent food options, a bar and pool table and table soccer. A couple of small things let it down tho. Prices are high, the AC seems to be blowing a gale in some areas and there’s no recycling. In a place that produces SO much plastic waste you really need some recycling bins. (The Kati rolls were really good btw)“

“I’ve tried almost all of their menu items and they are all delicious. Quality and freshness of their ingredients are noticeable and hands down best burger and fries in the area.
