Based on the reviews, The Fishin' Pig is a locally owned restaurant that specializes in both Fried Fish and BBQ. The food is very fresh and tasty, with sides that are fresh and wonderful, like fresh collard greens, hush puppies with honey butter, and sautéed broccoli. Popular menu items include the combo fried catfish and pulled pork, the Joan Catfish basket, the macaroni and cheese skillet with pulled pork, and the Super Fly chicken sandwich. The service is quick and friendly, with a server who offered a replacement when a guest did not like their order, which is great customer service. The restaurant has several different sauces to use. There was a long wait for Valentine's Day but it was well worth the wait, and a party of five all got something different that was top notch. The Fishin' Pig is the best place in Farmville, VA, and guests would go here again for sure.
