“Also, this is a chain restaurant the team here at this location, treated as if you were their own personal reputation on the line. Everyone does a great job, everyone is super friendly, and the food is always perfect. This is a great spot to come and relax eat some good meat and enjoy conversation with friends. Definitely recommend this location.“

“Food is plentiful and delicious. Servers are really nice and bring the food to you quickly. If I could please make two suggestion: 1. Not sure how other customers feel, the heavy duty napkins are nice but we like the napkin dispenser on the table, that way we have the amount of napkins we need to keep our hands clean eating their nice big bar-b-cue sandwich?; 2. it also would help if you used a duplicate order pads (one copy at the cash register and one for the customer so the server can bring the check to the customer so they can see what they owe ahead of time and also makes the customer aware the servers shift might be ending ..r know the servers can see what they owe before they get to the register, it also would help the customer know the server’s shift is almost over. Unfortunately we missed giving our server her tip two times because B f“

“3/5 is what I would give it….first time we tried it a year ago and couldn’t get service. We tried brunch today and even though they had several people you could see that worked there primarily only Brandon did any work for the first hour. Brandon took care of the 5 tables in the outdoor seating. One girl wiped 4 seats and tables of pollen then left. Another girl was drinking her coffee. Another guy made a pitcher for a customer that just walked in when 5 tables 30 minutes in were still waiting on their drinks and food orders to be taken. The bar seats were covered still in pollen. One brunch menu given to only 2 people 🤦♀️🤣 The menus had stains and were sticky. There is black mold all over the outdoor canopy. The napkin dispensers were dirty. We got the $13 Bloody Mary’s which were good but the slider was cold and a bit dry and so was the rib that came on it. I got the brisket sandwich and Mac and cheese which were good. My husband got the tacos which he liked. The coke was flat, no paper towels in the ladies bathroom and cobwebs on the mirror. The food is good, the lack of help from those there was not ok…Brandon did the best he could so thanks Brandon! Management needs to have better training, better coverage, and better cleaning. I’m in no rush to go back. Perhaps take out. It’s sad as it’s a beautiful old building and outdoor area has so much potential. You were not prepared to have brunch.“

“Six of us were at the Northern Neck Beach Music Festival in Colonial Beach on 9/10/2022. All of us had your barbeque sandwich and agreed how tender the port was and it had the best taste with the seasoning used for the cooking and it was delicious with or without the barbeque sauce. Looking forward to eating at you place and hope you will vendor again at the Northern Kneck Beach Festival for 2023. Thank you for being there.“

“My husband and I went for dinner on 3/31/22 Our server was Vironique. It was the best service we have had in a long time. The food was piping hot which is always an issue with me since I was in the service industry for years. Totally recommend this place!!!“

“I would give this place 5 stars if it wasn't for the staff. Half the time we go everything is great, but the other half we get a server who insists on cooking the meat for us. *Every time* the server handles meat it ends up over cooked or messed up.
I wouldn't mind them cooking if they did it correctly or even just asked how we wanted it cooked. However it ends up feeling like we're being rushed and micromanaged which is just not fun. Lastly, today our server told us that we can't salt the meat on the grill because it causes grease fires. Aside from that being incorrect, she kept putting the meat on the grill immediately so we didn't even get a chance to do that beforehand. I'm well aware that other people put sauce on the pans which you're not supposed to, and maybe she was confused about that.
Given the difference in service every time we go I guess there's some differing info on what they're supposed to do, but it's unclear which way is the right one.
As for the food, it's been improving which is nice considering it didn't start out bad at all. We'll definitely keep coming here but hopefully the management can get the servers on the same page in the future.“

“Love the taco truck and love the restaurant inside, everything is so good and folks are sweet to this freakishly tall gringo. Easier to order if you know some Spanish but so tasty it’s worth stumbling through the awkward exchanges with my high school Spanish.“

“J Brian’s has great food, knowledgeable and attentive staff, and super awesome specials. Trivia nights on Mondays at 8 and the live concerts are always a blast too. Can’t recommend it enough- Stop by and give it a try!“

“Our first visit here will NOT be our last. It was Saturday, and beef ribs were on the menu! It was juicy tender with the right amount of smoke and spices. My wife and I sampled several different sides, the pulled pork, and the brisket sandwich. The owners aim to please and they did! Please support this local, family-owned business. You won’t be disappointed.“
