“I have always loved Agora, and for years it was one of my favorite coffee shops. The atmosphere, the attention to detail, and the feeling that it was truly a passion project made it stand out from every other coffee shop around.

Unfortunately, it feels like it has been losing some of that charm over the last few years. One thing I always appreciated was being served coffee in a real coffee mug. It may seem like a small thing, but it added to the experience. Now it's paper cups, just like everywhere else.

Many people use coffee shops as a place to work, study, or spend a few hours relaxing. The two fabric chairs in the back are completely worn out and have been that way for quite some time. They really need some attention.

I still enjoy coming here and don't plan to stop, but I miss the Agora that felt unique and special. I hope it gets some of the attention and care that made so many of us fall in love with it in the first place.“

“Just had lunch with friends Kathleen and Terry Powers. I have to admit, I tried spargel for the first time in my life. (It is white asparagus. I didn't know it, either...) It was delicious!! It was cooked so it still had some crunch to it!! (I hate any kind of mooshy vegetables.) I had an alpine schnitzel hoagie, which was divine, and potato pancakes (also amazing!!) They give you such large portions I will have enough for dinner tonight, too!! They do such a good job with their food, and Kathleen and Terry, who lived in Germany for a few years, assure me that they are very authentic!! What is 'yummy' in German? Whatever it is, they're it!!“

What really sealed it was learning about their regular events — silent disco, trivia nights, karaoke — this is clearly a place that knows how to bring people together beyond just the pour. We’ll absolutely be back. Highly recommend Strangeways for anyone looking for a venue that combines great craft beer with a team that actually cares about the experience.“

I took everyone's leftovers by accident!!! lol. tonight's dinner was incredible. So.... we had, veal(I ordered) excellent, each had a scallop, halibut and risotto, which was great and I had not tried. Also, the lamb, everything was on point! I could've ordered any of those entrees and I would've been happy! . it's not I've thing that's good. it's all good! you did you dad right, it's still the place it's always been. so thank you it's b nice to be able to actually visit home. The salted caramel and churro donuts were the standouts—both were ridiculously good. The Fruity Pebble donut was total sweetness overload in the best way possible. Even the coffee was really good. “I have been going to this restaurant for two years now and have yet to have a bad meal. The food always comes quickly. It’s always good home-cooked food. The roast beef open face sandwich was so tender it was incredible. So if you’re looking for a good home-cooked meal, breakfast lunch and some dinner items, this is the place to go. And fantastic coffee along with a smiling staff. Super super customer service oriented.“

“Visited here yesterday at 5:00'ish. This restaurant is very busy & the food is fantastic. This was my party's first visit here.

Mixed experience. The waitstaff here deserves 5 stars, but the host/hostess stand deserves 0 (sorry, not even a 1 that a smile alone would have warranted). Unfortunately a 0 & a 5 equals a 2.5 ⭐ rating for service. Since I was unable to give a 2.5 I rounded up to a 3 in favor of the server.

The Bad: Hostesses/check-in staff were not friendly at all, not smiling or exchanging even slight pleasantries upon your arrival. Not sure if they got overwhelmed due to a full restaurant with people waiting in the front & outside to be seated (though I think that would be expected on Memorial Day weekend), but the general feeling was rushed, overwhelmed & inconvenienced by your arrival. They seemed to treat everyone this way whether they were people dining in, taking out, or delivery drivers. There seemed to be a lack of communication between people working there & the waitstaff and kitchen. The entire front-of-restaurant vibe was unprofessional, uncomfortable & tense, and I feel management needs to address this as it sets the tone for the night, or at least the early part of it.

The Good: The 3 stars for service is all due to the servers here, who are very friendly & deserve 5 stars!

Our waitress was absolutely phenomenal. She was attentive, friendly, and saved the evening. The food was delicious and well-prepared. It even smelled wonderful while we waited in the front and smelled orders leaving the restaurant. Timing was about what you would expect for it being very busy.

Overall, I liked the restaurant but the initial entry experience was highly disappointing. One member of my party said she was not impressed & that it left such a bad impression of the restaurant that she will not return. I might give them another try, but probably not at a busy hour or on a holiday based on this experience.“

“Yesterday I was in Fredericksburg and I had the unfortunate experience of having to deal with some issues involving my Amtrak trip home. I walked over to 25 30 Espresso from the train station to sit, try to relax, and have a drink/some food. I got to talking to the baristas, Chris & Alyssa, about my trip and the hiccups I was dealing with trying to make it home. They were both so sweet & caring, going above & beyond to do what they could to make my day better. “This place is a hidden gem! It was the very best pork Lo Mein i have had in all the places in Fredericksburg! The noodles had good amount of sauce and were not too dry like other places lo mein is! It had good amount of vegetables it was delicious with the crispy egg roll! I went for the first time yesterday and talked to the staff were so nice talking to me about their hometown in China I was asking about. I must now try all there other dishes! This was by far the best lo mein I have ever had with a good amount of sauce and delicious!!! Must try! I just put another order of more stuff again today! “Traveling through Fredericksburg, VA and needed a little something to fill my belly. Sonic Drive-In was the perfect thing. The wait time via the drive thru was minimal, so we jumped into line. Was surprised to see a sign that stated “cash only.” Wasn’t bothered by it since we had cash and we placed our order. After a minimal wait time we were at the window to get our food and pay. The cashier was “very” pleasant, courteous and apologetic about the “cash only” option for the drive thru. Apparently, Sonic was a victim of the global outage by Microsoft systems software that only affected their drive thru lane only. While we were happy to pay via cash, the cashier was gracious and thanked us for being SO understanding. Total visit was a 100 out of 10, on all levels. Would come back again, and again for this level of customer service experience. Enjoy!“
