“* MILKSHAKES ONLY REVIEW ** Accurate as of 10/10/23 *This review is ONLY about the milkshakes because that's the ONLY thing I get from here.I've lived in galax for over 20 years and this is the best place to get milkshakes. I go almost weekly to get a Hand Dipped Chocolate Milkshake - basic, I know, but absolutely delicious. I have tried a couple of the other milkshakes and while some I disliked, it was solely because I disliked the flavor (I dont like Peanut Butter so I didnt like the Peanut Butter shake) and not the quality. I even get milkshakes for people at work, they even keep a note with all of their flavors pinned in the main office for people to pick! Isnt that wonderful?As of for speed, I typically call in my order and get there in ~5 minutes. Its always ready for me! The times that I didnt call it in, nearly all of them were fairly quick even during the busier times, I'd say, average of 5 minutes? The longest I had to wait was around 30, but that was an outlier and only happened once out of the over hundred times I've been.All in all, this is the best milkshake joint around Galax. “The McDonald's here in Galax, just like our Walmart, are among the busiest on the East Coast. Expect long lines during breakfast, lunch, and dinner. With that said, the Painter family has always been top notch, ensuring our McDonald's has friendly and knowledgeable staff. Keeping the lines flowing quickly and smoothly is a high priority. They also have a very high percentage of correct orders as I rarely have to go back in. Food is always arranged neatly and cooked correctly. Our McDonald's stands above most any I've visited around the country despite the really high customer volume. A++“
“It's a shame this is in a smaller area and may not do well. Cleaner than the average hardee's, by far. The food was very good and prepared and it's timely manner by friendly people. Hope this location is well supported by the community as I was just passing through and it was really pretty “
“Nice old town atmosphere with character. I arrived before the band in a Friday night. Several good menue choices.Started with the fried brussel sprouts with an outstanding smoked honey aioli.I moved onto the Galax Country Club sandwich with rub pub chips. Fresh and good.I finished with a warm brownie drizzled with caramel and chocolate.For take out, a Space Jam pizza.A Black cherry cola was the perfect drink!Service was prompt and friendly.Yes, I would recommend this place.“
