“My husband & I decided to give the new location a shot after having a ‘meh’ experience over a year ago, before they moved, & omg what an improvement. It was a rainy day @ lunchtime & the place was empty except for us. The food & service were truly exceptional.. we had the Thai ceviche, Crab Rangoon, Tiki burger, & Green Curry fried rice with salmon - it was hard to decide, but the bartender, TJ, was great! Easy to talk to, funny, great menu recommendations, & really knowledgeable about the cocktails (which we’ll absolutely be back for, since this place’ll be our new go-to). While I def recommend this place for lunch, we learned they’ve got live music on Weds nights & other nightlife fun for adults on the weekends. Kitchen staff came out & chatted with us - really friendly. So glad we gave it a second chance & are stoked to have it in the neighborhood!Vegetarian options: You can sub tofu or veggies for any animal protein.Dietary restrictions: GF optionsKid-friendliness: No kid menu but kid-friendly options (noodle/rice dishes, quesadillas, etc.)“
“Food is really of the best quality, authentic Thai restaurant. Portions are small compared to price, so this place is more towards quality over quantity. One of the best Thai food I have in a long time. Among cocktails, try screwdriver. Among starters, try crab rangoon and shrimp roll. Chicken satay was ok, not the best. Nice gentle crowd. They also have outside seating facility, that's wonderful.Vegetarian options: Veg options are thereDietary restrictions: Typical Thai placeParking: Lot of free off-street parking spaceKid-friendliness: YesWheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“I have been to this place few times in the past. Never disappointed on the food and always ordered different items from menu. Chef is passionate about cooking and checks in with the customers. I went there today with my colleagues and the service was extremely delayed by 40mins or so. That's the only complaint I've after many times. Food is good, the traditional Thai filet fish is a must. Caution with the some seeds, bit sour.Parking: Always park behind the restaurant and there's a huge garage with free parking“
“I love their Pad Thai and Pad See Ew. At first when you bite into them, they've got a different flavor and it might be kind of strange, but the second bite is incredible. For example the Pad Thai's flavor isn't primarily sweetness the way it is at most places, it's something different--I can't describe it, but it's great. And the Pad See Ew's flavor is a little different than other's and the noodles are softer and fresher, and it's overall a great taste. I'm so glad the Thai menu is available again! I missed it dearly.“
“Most sweet and caring owner. The food is always fresh, flavorful, creative and presentable. They always give satisfying portions that make me feel like my money was more than well spent. The restaurant is warm and cozy even though I usually do take out and have only eaten inside once. Also if you like spicy, you can choose your spice level. As someone who always chooses spicy and eats spicy every day the "make me cry" option is no joke. It should be chosen carefully, occasionally, and with a backup plan.Parking: I usually park on the street when visiting. This area is usually busy and parking is typically hard to find.“
“WOW! Absolutely a hidden gem. Came by on a Saturday before visiting Lewis Ginter and it was fabulous. The food, the service, just amazing all around.Vegetarian options: Just about anything can be made vegetarian heteParking: Lots of available spacesKid-friendliness: They are wonderful with kids. They were especially friendly to our son!“
“Probably one of my ALL time favorite Thai restaurants. I always order to-go and their curry is massive and absolutely DELICIOUS (the green, red and Panang). Red is my fave, but green is less spicy if you prefer that. It’s honestly even better the next day after all the meat and veggies have soaked in the curry. I usually get with chicken or tofu. Their spicy minced chicken with garlic is also a hidden sleeper but the flavor is PHENOMENAL. Spicy, but you won’t be able to stop eating. Their rice soup is a nice go between if you’re eating spicy dishes. For their noodle dishes, you can pick pretty much any dish you want and it’ll be amazing. Just be aware the wide noodle dishes might be a bit dry so ask for extra sauce. Lastly, they’re probably better when dining in, but the blueberry egg roll dessert does not keep well during travel! I think they also use the same oil as their savory dishes to fry them and you can tell. But overall, this restaurant slaps and is well work your patronage !!“
“The food here is simply incredible! 11/10My only note is the levels of spiciness have varied, erring on the side of being not quite as spicy as we'd like, but this is understandable as it's pretty subjective and many might find it too spicy. This is specifically for hot/very hot spice level, so stick to your guns and ask for Thai spicy if you're looking for real spice!“
“This establishment offers a delightful dining experience for those seeking an exquisite sushi meal. The seafood is impeccably fresh, while the appetizers are delectable in taste. The service provided is commendable, and the ambiance exudes a charming and intimate atmosphere. I highly recommend this establishment to those in search of exceptional Asian cuisine in the Richmond, Virginia area. I personally look forward to returning in the future!“
“A little bit of backstory: I just moved in from another state, and I needed to create a list of go to restaurants and businesses I can always count on for being good.My family is now ADDICTED to the sweet and sour shrimp and this one dish with veggies and chicken in the healthy section (which, as someone trying to watch her figure, is amazing for when I'm just too lazy to cook). For to-go orders they put the sauces on the side. It threw me off at first. We were able to save a lot of the sauces for future cooking though, so I can't be mad at it. I recommend using their versatile brown sauce for any dish you want to be savory. Those were the only two dishes that we tried as we combined our dinner that day with several restaurants to try to fill our list out, but seeing how it is so close, so good, cheap, and has nice staff? We are definitely going to go again.“
“Picked up dinner from here for some company we had over from Rhode Island. So easy to order online, ready at the estimated time, and all the food was so delicious!! We got the spring rolls, noodles of the drunk w/ chicken, pad see ew w/ tofu, chicken pho, and chicken pad Thai. All dishes were excellent! ?? Our guests from RI loved it!! Would totally recommend if you’re craving Thai food!“
“Loved the ambience. Food was great, tasted authentic. The drink collection was great. They have exotic list of cocktails. Great decor and nice music. They have a great selection of menu items available. They have a patio, but that portion is kept close until late spring. Also they have a dedicated parking lot.Parking: They have a designated parking lot.Kid-friendliness: Yes“
“First of all, the decor is so cute. I highly recommend the cocktail that is mango juice and soju. Goes down way too easy in a way that is dangerous to my bank account. They also have great vegetarian options. My partner loves their veg hot and sour soup (it has a nice kick to it). I got some form of noodles with broccoli and there were roasted pine nuts in it that was a perfect addition!“
“The sweet lady that was serving me was so helpful and was super nice. Their Tom Kha soup was the BEST i have ever had! Super fresh and so tasty! We should all be supporting local family businesses like this that provide amazing food at reasonable prices!“
“Ordered the same dishes at several Thai restaurants in the area and Thai Diner was the most flavorful every time. The restaurant has an informal but cute atmosphere with a dining room that's not oversized or rundown, but I have only ordered pickup.“
“YaYa’s was recommended to me via someone who lived in Thailand and traveled all over south east Asia. So I had high expectations! It did not disappoint!Ray and Steve behind the bar are amazing!!! I came for the food and stayed for the amazing bourbon, rye, and whisky selection!!! Will make an excuse to come back!!!“
“The lunch buffet is amazingly delicious, and a good value. But you cannot serve your own plate. The server serves huge portions, which is not good if you want to sample small amounts of everything. I tried to tell her to give me a small amount, but she didn't understand English, and I don't speak Thai.“
“We had the entire restaurant to ourselves for a little and the customer service was great!!! Even after some customers came in, our customer service was still good. The margarita was delicious and we loved the giant single ice cube in it. The sushi rolls were on the small side, but happy hour price Maki rolls are not bad. The restaurant is well decorated and has cute vibe inside. It was an easy stroll from the canal walk to the restaurant. Food was good. Not the best best taste and quality of Thai food that we have had. 5 for service and atmosphere“
“Best Thai food in Richmond, my wife and I have enjoyed their food since they opened and brought my whole family here many times no complaints absolutely delicious I recommend tip tie to anyone, no one can to the delicious food and wonderful staff.Vegetarian options: My wife and daughter both usually get vegetarian dishes with the tofu pad. Thai is very good.“
“The food here is very good. It’s a takeout place only, but that lets them stay focused on the food. You can call in here and pick up some yumminess in like 15 minutes. It’s great. The yellow curry is fantastic. So are the vegetable puffs, basically samosas under a different name. I get takeout from here whenever I’m in the area.“
“I went to Mamas on a Friday night with a group of 5 friends. We were seated in the back by the big windows that face Cary St. the restaurant was mildly busy and we were sat promptly. Ambiance on the inside is great. Lovely decorations and the staff were very friendly. The restaurant near the kitchen in the back where we sat had some kind of smell. It wasn’t a horrible smell and I can’t place what it was. It wasn’t the food and didn’t seem like cleaning products, but I forgot about it shortly. Another issue was the table being sticky. An employee overheard us talking about the table and mentioned that during Covid they used a bleach cleaner which stripped the tables, but I suppose were never refinished.Food was great and the kitchen sent it out in an insanely quick. The server and our party were very surprised.I had drunken fried rice with pork at their highest heat level. It was sufficiently hot and appreciated the server being forward about the heat scale. My friends got a chicken drunken noodle, pork drunken noodle and a pad prik. I can’t recall what the final person got, but everyone seemed to have enjoyed their meals.Between us regarding drinks we got two 24 once PBRs. They taste like PBR, but are a large size. Per ounce you’re better off going with the smaller one. We didn’t notice that till we ordered. Maybe they should sell the PBRs at an equal price per ounce. We also got a Rum Punch which was in a fun cup and tasted great.Overall I would recommend stopping by Momma Siams and checking out some delicious food. On a nice day be sure to sit on the patio too!“
“My boyfriend and I pass here quite often and decided to try out of the blue one night. We entered around 830pm and they closed at 10pm. The meal we received was great. We started with their fresh rolls and each got separate and very different dishes. I tried their milk tea which was amazing and refreshing! This is a must try spot. I suggest go on a week day and at night. The place is quite small inside but cozy. ( if you’d prefer not to wait on a table) Please take time to visit. Parking behind the building.“
“Went to this restaurant before seeing a show at the Broadberry, it was great! Food was delicious and service was excellent—quick, helpful, and attentive. I had the Pad Krapow Gai, recommended by the server based on what I was considering, and it was amazing—so flavorful, and just the right amount of heat. Definitely enough to bring home some leftovers too.“
“We stumbled upon this place in a strip mall and said why not!!!! Boy are we glad we did!!! I have never ever experienced Thai food to this level. The interior design is so eclectic and Pot is amazing. He was all over the place, so polite and friendly! I will be returning many times and each time bringing them a new fan. Yummy!!!“
“Our go to Thai place for regular lunch with my better half. Food is fresh and the right size portion. They have bar here and several TVs which usually have some sports playing (or ESPN talking heads). It is seat yourself so it can get crowded on Fridays. Staff is friendly but can get overwhelmed with amount of customers, but they do hustle! Not a huge fan of the stacks of merchandise boxes and materiel sitting in the corner; but it doesn't diminish taste of the pad see ew (my usual). Will keep coming back due to quality, price and location.“
