“The service is always impeccable and the food outstanding. We always have some time to walk and check out the gardens. The lettuce and leaks were up and have been used by the chefs. I ordered the day special that was wild rockfish and it was delicious. My wife got her favorite bouillabaisse and she is never disappointed. We were well satisfied once again.“

“I can’t say enough great things about this tiny family owned and run business, first we were greeted with a huge smile, seated immediately and watered within a min, this from our 60/70 year old server. He was very helpful and went out of his way to make sure we had a memorable meal. The food is amazing , really really amazing. The freshest ingredients is all they serve and holy smokes the serving sizes are amazing. We ordered a lot of food and ate every single thing. I will be back allot. Thank you“

“The staff and service was impeccable. This is hands down the best sushi restaurant I've ever experienced. The seafood is incredibly fresh, and every dish is visually stunning. The creativity behind the sauces truly sets this place apart, and I even heard the chef makes his own soy sauce—which absolutely shows in the depth of flavor. The Japanese uni was beautifully presented, and the tuna was a deep, rich red that melted in my mouth, finished perfectly with a delicate sprinkle of truffle oil. Every bite felt intentional and expertly crafted. I only wish I lived closer—this would easily be my daily go-to restaurant.“

“We came here on a cold windy night and the shabu shabu hit the spot! The staff were very friendly and helpful as they explained and showed us what to do. We ordered prime rib, pork, and shrimp as the proteins. I had a tonkotsu + tomato broth and my husband had the spicy miso + tonkatsu broth. Everything was very fresh and flavorful. We’ll be returning for sure. I recommend California Shabu Shabu!“

“In recent years there seems to be a proliferation of small-plate Mediterranean restaurants. But Yayla remains as one of the best, reasonably priced originals in northern Virginia. There is a pleasing range of mezzes, salads, entrees hot and cold, flat breads, spreads, etc . I had a Yayla mule, 3 spreads, lemony rice soup and superb shrimp. Friends chose a range of other dishes. I can guarantee whatever you choose, you won’t be disappointed. Everything is flavorful, fresh and beautifully presented. “Hello everyone! My name is Syed Anwar Hussain, and I'm sharing my experience at the best restaurant in the DC area. Today I went to the Bangladesh Embassy, and after I finished my embassy work, I started searching for a good restaurant in that area. Luckily, GPS found the restaurant. We went with my wife and my son, and we ordered three dishes. First, we ordered two dishes. We tasted the first two dishes; they were very delicious. Then we ordered another one. All three dishes were delicious. I really enjoy the delicious food. I have no words to describe how delicious the food is. I highly recommend this place.“

“Superb authentic Indian food. The real taste of south Indian cuisines, well cooked and every item on the Buffet was tasty. The staff greet you with a smile and really take care of your choice of food and also give their suggestions to try other dishes too. They had mild, medium and high spicy foods displayed in the buffet. The atmosphere was very nice, clean and looked very hygienic. “We did take out and couldn’t have been more surprised at how great the food it. We each had three good sized tacos, had plenty of meat and other yummy fillings, adequately messy so you know you just had an excellent taco. This will definitely need to be a repeat in our eating out list.“

“This feels exactly what I want a sushi place to feel like. It is clean with a nice modern feel and the service is professional but kind. The food came out fast and all of the sushi was delicious, my favorite being the maguro nigiri. I do wish the rice to fish ratio was a bit higher, but I will happily come back despite that minor difference in opinion.“

“We are fortunate to have a number of great Ethiopian restaurants in the DC area, and this one deserves a call out for the great variety of vegan options. Nice interior and very friendly staff. Our food was out in moments. BONUS Right next door is a vegan ice cream shop (Creme de la Crop). See reviews here on Happy Cow. We had the fabulous 10 item vegan sampler for dinner, and then went next door and got ice cream.
