“The food was absolutely amazing!!! I hate to add this but the service was awful!! Wasn't business but took forever to check on us, would be sitting in a booth talking. Didn't bring more chips when we ran out and took forever to get my credit card back! I had to get up and ask for it. Again, the food was the best all the way around and for any of the other places in that area. But I am very unsure about returning and dining in. Very lucky my boyfriend left I tip because I wouldn't have.”

“The customer service could use some improvement. After greeting me, the staff member took a phone order while I waited at the counter. During the 10 minutes I waited for my food, they spent the time playing on their phone. The restaurant is located inside a gas station, which might not appeal to everyone. That said, the food was absolutely fantastic! They are also running a special where you get a free sandwich if you leave a good review with a photo. Next time, I’ll definitely call my order in ahead of time.”

I called a few days later because I had left a jacket on the back of my chair. I asked if I could pay to have it shipped to me. They offered to ship it for free. You will spend some money but the service and food is excellent. “The fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, and greens are out of this world. They give you enough for two meals. The chicken is fried to order and incredibly tender. The greens are delicious and are shockingly vegan! They use smoked apple cider vinegar for flavor. For an appetizer, we tried the Akara, black eyed pea fritters. So good! I had a pear and bourbon craft cocktail that was smooth and delish. So good I had two. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The ambiance is great. It's a small place with nice decor. Great bar! The music is not too loud. Overall, one of the best in Roanoke. I look forward to returning and trying some new items. You cannot go wrong with that chicken!”

“It’s been awhile, and I was looking forward to returning to this spacious, pleasant spot for wine, drinks and OUTSTANDING food. They have not disappointed. I believe they’ve upped their game with portion sizes (unnecessarily for us; great, well crafted food served beautifully takes time and attention) but my husband will take home half his Mill Mountain Charcuterie plate. More than enough for two. I inhaled the Spinach & Artichoke flatbread, as I did last time and probably shouldn’t have considering I’m just one person. We did the Richard’s Favorite Flight followed by a glass of bubbles for me and Maple Bourbon Smash for him. Bravo and cheers! Come on down!”
