“The food was absolutely amazing!!! I hate to add this but the service was awful!! Wasn't business but took forever to check on us, would be sitting in a booth talking. Didn't bring more chips when we ran out and took forever to get my credit card back! I had to get up and ask for it. Again, the food was the best all the way around and for any of the other places in that area. But I am very unsure about returning and dining in. Very lucky my boyfriend left I tip because I wouldn't have.”

“Great service. Good tasting pizza but seriously lacked toppings. Mushrooms were shredded little pieces and on an x-large pizza there were only 18 pieces of pepperoni. Very sparse but still tasty!”

I called a few days later because I had left a jacket on the back of my chair. I asked if I could pay to have it shipped to me. They offered to ship it for free. It arrived at my home in Chesapeake, VA in great condition. Thank you so much. That is true customer service.”

“The customer service could use some improvement. After greeting me, the staff member took a phone order while I waited at the counter. During the 10 minutes I waited for my food, they spent the time playing on their phone. The restaurant is located inside a gas station, which might not appeal to everyone. That said, the food was absolutely fantastic! They are also running a special where you get a free sandwich if you leave a good review with a photo. Next time, I’ll definitely call my order in ahead of time.”

“I liked the food, atmosphere, and service but everything was so expensive. They have a large drink list but I didn’t think there were enough options that were basic for non-adventurous folks (me). The bathrooms were immaculate. I wouldn’t come back solely because it’s so expensive but richy rich people would most likely enjoy this place.”

“It’s been awhile, and I was looking forward to returning to this spacious, pleasant spot for wine, drinks and OUTSTANDING food. They have not disappointed. I believe they’ve upped their game with portion sizes (unnecessarily for us; great, well crafted food served beautifully takes time and attention) but my husband will take home half his Mill Mountain Charcuterie plate. More than enough for two. I inhaled the Spinach & Artichoke flatbread, as I did last time and probably shouldn’t have considering I’m just one person. We did the Richard’s Favorite Flight followed by a glass of bubbles for me and Maple Bourbon Smash for him. Bravo and cheers! Come on down!”

“Gluten allergy here and a vegetarian . We both were able to eat here. Wanted the duck with risotto but told there were no substitutions. Bummer. Nonetheless the chef was excellent and food sourced freshly. The service was good. The food and service gets it five stars but they need to allow substitutions. I get why they don't though — it was very busy. Parking was confusing cause the lot is down the street and a lot of spots say LUNA in the parking spot but customers for Fortunato can park there.”
