“Needed a quick bite to eat while I was in between deliveries and came across Lillie Mae’s Kitchen in Hopewell, Va on google maps. I said to myself with a name like Lillie Mae I said the food gotta be good. So I went there and ordered the chicken Philly and onion rings. After I ate that food.I THOUGHT TO MYSELF WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD!!!??????(Sorry that I didn’t take a picture of the food) ✌?“

“This was my 1st time ordering & I ordered ribs, collards and cabbage. Then the 2nd plate was hamburger on mashed potatoes and gravy with mac and cheese. Both came with cornbread! Everything was amazing! The ladies working there were so nice! I also got the strawberry pound cake….. So good!! Would recommend and do plan to return to try other menu options!“

“Let me tell you. I wasted no time devouring that plate. Didn’t even take any pics. ? Not sure if the lady at the counter is the owner, but she was the sweetest person ever. I definitely will be back and my back definitely will be bigger.Parking: A parking lot across the street is accessible“

“I abosolutley loved this place. The food was , so delicious. My son and I drove down from Richmond city passing all the other overated soul food spots just to go to this one. All the food was home made i loved the mac n chz and sweet potaoes. The chitterlings were nice and tender and flavorful, the fried fish and spaghetti were spot on. The wife was so sweet. I felt like i was a grandma's house. My new family. Much love.“

“I can't speak to the service, my wife brings it home on fridays so neither of us have to cook but the taste? Bruh look!!If you don't like this food you need taste bud replacement therapy!!The taste of everything i've had is Great!!!If you know what soul food is supposed to taste like, you will not be disappointed!“

“Located in downtown Petersburg parking was difficult at peak time. After walking a bit a small meal was desired. We liked the look of the place and went in . Promptly greeted and sat at bar. Server Tiny was very informative and polite conversation. 6 wing meal took a bit but was good,coleslaw on the slimy side but edible. Mixed drink was awesome! Very good selection on menu. Down side our server would disappear for lengthy times and bar stolls very "wobbly". Probably select booth or table.Parking: I imagine this it a good later dining establishment.“
