“I’ve tried several soul food spots in Hampton. Including Wards. I told my self the first time I tried them that it would be the last time. This was almost 3 years ago. Tonight I had the chicken and fish. Everything was fresh, crispy, seasoned well. The mac was decent (and I don’t eat just anybody’s Mac) and the yams were okay (could have been little sweeter). Overall a 8.5/10“
“I wasn’t able to go home for the holidays during the height of covid and Ms. Cherry made sure I had a home cooked Christmas dinner. I ordered a small dressing but she gave me a large anyway. I’ll never forget that. Thanks so much for providing comfort during a difficult time!“
