“This is my second time ordering. The first time I got the smothered pork chop and OMG they were wonderful. Second time I ordered pigs feet dinner, ox tail dinner, smothered pork chops and bread pudding all with Mac and cheese and corn bread. Portion sizes are hugh, food is to die for and the bread pudding is wonderful. Everyone was nice and helpful. The only problem I have is they are less than a half mile from my home, so I can see I will need a punch card and a diet soon.“
“The Sunday Buffet is simply to die for; however, their plated dinners during the week are just as awesome. It is a must that before you leave this earth (lol) that you order their Ultimate Shrimp and Grits with the fish, scallops and special seafood cream sauce. “This was my first time at 7 cities the service was wonderful everyone had a great vibe about them. Bree waited on me with the most beautiful smile and took care of me. My pork chop wasn't quite to my liking and the owner Miss Dion took care of me and two other customers without charging us extra. The oxtails were amazing the macaroni and cabbage with seasoned to perfection. This will be my go to spot for Jamaican food. MP Island was my number one but now 7cities is by far the best in the city of Norfolk Virginia thank you so much ladies and gentlemen for taking good care of me. It has been extremely hard to find a good, consistent soul food place, and let me tell you, there isnt a place around that can compare. The entrees and side are delish. Small take out only location, sometimes it may be a slight wait if a line has formed but moves quickly and you won't even mind, as the owner engages with each customer as he fixes their food. “My family and I had brunch here. I wasn't sure what to expect but I gave it a try and I was glad I did. I ordered the chicken and waffles and it came with mac and cheese so I had that on the side. Normally I don't enjoy mac and cheese at restaurants but I was pleasantly surprised. Everything was delicious! I washed down my food with a mango mimosa, yum! The service was a bit slow but that was probably because the restaurant was packed and I understand why. They played really good music but it was very loud. I would definitely eat here again.“

“I ordered food to go. It was a bit before normal lunchtime. I must say they must be clean because the bleach smell was STRONG. Someone was mopping. I hope she wears a mask in the future. That bleach can have long-term effects, though I do appreciate the cleanliness.On to the food. I ordered Jerk chicken, cabbage, and plantains. The Jerk chicken was spicy with a hint of sweetness. I was going to eat only half, but ended up eating more. The cabbage was a bit different. I've had it with carrots before, but it also had bits of green beans. It was different, yet tasty. They were firm, not mushy, which is how I prefer it. The plantains were good. I prefer them with the crispy ends, but they were still soft and sweet.Overall, I enjoyed the food. I'll have to pop in again.“

“Every time we visit Virginia this will be our first stop. We were lucky enough to meet Ellen herself when making our order. She was soooo welcoming and kind. Not surprised they have been in business over 15 years. She made us feel like family and the food did not fall short either. Food was filled with flavor and high quality ingredients. They make fresh pies & cakes also. We originally were going to DoorDash but the menu was not all listed so we called and she was so nice over the phone we decided to pick up and glad we did. If you live in Virginia you need to eat there often! If you are visiting Virginia add this to a place to stop for food and you will not regret it.“
