“THE BEST AFRICAN RESTAURANT EVER IN VIRGINIA and the entire DC/MD area in my opinion. I am not from Ghana but as an African, her food gives you that West African food taste! Her Okro soup is my favorite. Her Banku taste just like Fufu from Naija and Cameroon, so you get that good taste of “eba and Fufu” . She’s just the best! She gives enough food for your moneys worth! She’s very friendly , clean and good vibe. I eat here weekly and I am looking forward trying all her meals. But , okro soup and Banku is my Favorite!“

“I have been going here for years! Love the food and the owner is an amazingly kind guy who treats every customer with respect and professionalism. Did I mention the food is amazing! I have eaten everything on the menu and never dissatisfied. Def try the Cassava leaf with goat meat or the Egusi stew with banku! And all soups are delicious. The food can be definitely be considered comfort food.“

“This place is AMAZING. Everyone was super kind. We dined in and spoke with the owner. Beautiful personality and sweet soul. You can taste it in her cooking. They gave us a bowl to wash our hands which I thought was very thoughtful. Will be coming back for the Ghana Cake. 🥰“

“I am also from Guinea, West Africa. However, I have observed a significant difference in our culinary preparation methods. I recently ordered a fish pepper soup, and it did not meet my expectations. The dish primarily consisted of fish, and the soup's consistency was thick, similar to what is typically served with rice, rather than the expected pepper soup.“

“I had such an incredible time exploring the bold and authentic flavors at this spot. The jollof rice was perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of spice, and the meat was so tender it practically melted off the bone. It feels like a true community hub where the atmosphere is warm and the portions are huge, so I definitely didn't leave hungry. The staff was very helpful in explaining the different traditional dishes, making the whole experience feel like a welcoming invitation into a different culture. Rahama African Restaurant is a fantastic place to visit if you want a real, home-cooked meal that is full of heart.“
