“My husband and I had dinner at D’Roccos in Occoquan tonight. They are under new management and reviews were great, so we went. Our server, Yun, I believe she said she was an owner or related to the owner (🤦‍♀️).She was amazing as was all the staff. We were a bit hesitant as walked in along with a party of 14 and several smaller ones but it was all hands on deck, for wonderful food, with timely delivery! We had the calamari- cooked so perfectly you could cut it with a fork! The lasagna was very good with a tomato and bechamel sauce with veal and pork. I had the octopus with fingerling potatoes and zucchini… AMAZING! I’m an octopus junkie! Tiramisu was not a classic presentation though it was excellent! We loved it! Check it out! Let’s support our local small businesses!“

“Clifton Cafe is our new favorite evening spot on the weekends. We’ve been customers since the original owners opened it years ago, but until this past fall we did more to go orders than dine in since the service and time to prep food was often slow and unpredictable. Now we go almost every week. We’ve noticed big improvements since they expanded their kitchen and redesigned the bar area. Their new pull up bar is beautiful and spacious. The new owners and management are great too! We love the evening staff as well, especially Ian and Nicole. They are very personable, accommodating, and attentive. They have great happy hour specials from 3-6 and make the best margaritas and espresso martinis. Some of our favorite dinner items include the crab dip, Mediterranean salad, cuban sandwich, burgers, crab cakes, quiche specials, banana pudding, and too many crepes to name! We also appreciate that they have become more family friendly. We had a last minute party of 14 on a Friday evening (half of which were children ages 1-11) and they didn’t hesitate to pull some tables together in a private nook to accommodate our large group (again thanks to Ian and Nicole). We noticed they finally got a changing table in the large bathroom, which they are about to install. Our kids are past that stage, but there were several times when they were little that a changing table would have been helpful.“

“After hearing of Bunnyman for months, I decided to hit it up with a few friends on a Friday night. It did not disappoint at all. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is serene with great music. The music volume is perfect too so you can still socialize without having to shout. My favorite amenities though, are the self-pour feature, the diversity of beer flavors, and the ease of paying. The taps are really easy to use and to keep track of how much your bar tab is accumulating. On top of that, you don't have to wait at all for a refill- just head on up to the tap and pour, amazing system! The Irish Red beer was my go-to, and it was very pleasing to see that on tap when it's not actually Oktoberfest season, (I can never seem to find it most times of the year). We will all definitely be back, as well as looking forward to visiting their Lorton location! Keep up the great work and the awesome selection of beers, mad props!“

“We will definitely return! Totally were pleased to see a great outdoor area close to kayaking. Service couldn't be better. Delivery was unexpectedly quick! The popcorn shrimp was ample and so well seasoned. The hot pretzel came out overcooked and too hard, but they were so accommodating with a replacement, and didn't ask for it, but they refunded us for the inconvenience. Totally unnecessary, but the thoughtfulness and friendliness caught our attention and is a large reason we'll continue to patronize them. Also, I could definitely bring home a large dish of the cucumber salad -- so refreshing and tasty! Hope there's a fall/winter plan to keep it open. We noticed there were individual fire pits/tables. ☆☆☆☆☆“

“Went with my boyfriend to grab a coffee earlier in the day. I had a mocha and it was perfect! We had to come back the same day later in the afternoon to get some sandwiches before we hit the road again. When I say these sandwiches were 10/10, I MEAN IT!!! Been multiple times and have always had a great experience. They also work their butts off keeping the orders cranking out. We have a gluten allergy and dairy allergy in our family so they are always helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating when we order. The space is adorable. “The food was quite good. The setting is nice. We got there around 11:30, were enjoying our lunch and company, then a very loud mower started up around 12:30, and it was pretty disturbing. Everyone around us was talking about it. Couldn't the mowing have been done before the 11am opening? Also, it would be nice to have recycling bins. All in all, though, I would go back and do recommend it.“

“Very popular lake on nice days with plenty of activities for families from fishing to hiking the trail, and Frisbee golf! The lake was designed for fisherman in mind so to be on the water with your own personal craft you are supposed to be actively fishing according to the regs, but they don't tend to enforce it anymore. I usually fish from my Kayak, but there are plenty of shore access places as well. Because of that this place is heavily fished, but if you have patience you can hook some big fish or spend a day with children catching numerous pan fish.“

Everything that my family has tried is amazing. we found the resteraunt about 2 years ago, every since this is the only place we get food from when we order out. Mr. Sam's resteraunt prime pizza and grill has become a house hold name for us and brings us together whether over a delicious meal or phone calls to tell what we tried today. “Love this delightful little yogurt drink and snack shop! Tucked away on the far end of the K-Mart parking lot, Yomie's is one of Annandale's best hidden gems. Despite being a part of a global chain, Yomie's maintains the local vibes with its tiny, cozy shop with only two small tables, and super friendly staff. The yogurt and rice drinks are all delightful, with a rich creamy texture and slightly tangy flavor from the yogurt. You can customize your drink with a bunch of different flavors, including various fruits or dessert-like treats (e.g., Oreo). I love the hawthorn, which gives a nice hint of fruitiness and extra tanginess from the sour chunks of fruit, and it adds yet another texture to mix in with the rice. The rice makes a phenomenal topping, as it gives the drink a bit more body and chew, without all the sugar and with slightly less effort than, say, boba might. The combination feels wholesome but also like a treat.

Yomie's also has a pretty large food selection, including mochi donuts, Korean hot dogs, and yubu pockets. I decided to get two of their yubu pockets, and they were quite sizeable -- two or three could easily be a full meal. The yubu itself was slightly sweet and savory, and it was the perfect vessel for a dollop of warm rice and my toppings of choice. I opted for the spicy tuna and stewed mushrooms, both of which were phenomenal. The tuna was tasty and super rich from the mayo, and I loved the combination of the cold fish with warm rice and yubu. The mushrooms were incredibly flavorful, both from their natural earthiness and the soy sesame glaze they were cooked in. It was nutty, savory, and umami, and all around a delightful vegetarian snack.“

“My favorite grocery store. Traveling through Virginia, stopped for some baked goods. Wegmans always has baked goods especially in the fall. And I love their pumpkin pie. However, all the baked goods today looked like they were dried out and they just looked bad so I didn’t even get the pumpkin pie because it looked like it was cracked and old and dry. I just got a few cookies and they were good, but I still like Wegmans the fruit is fresh“

“Absolutely lovely. For the most part, it's peaceful with music in the background. The food was delicious. My husband ordered the brew, haha mussels, and I had the veggie quiche with French onion soup. I didn't like the French onion soup as much because it was too thick and sweet for me. The non-alcoholic apple cider was delicious. A definite must try place.
The service took a while, but that's only because they're currently short staffed. Our waiter was very informative and attentive.“
