The eCafe at W&L Hillel Vegetarian • $
204 W Washington St, Lexington

“I found E. Cafe on an internet search for vegan/ vegetarian options in Lexington, noted that my #1 choice was closed until Tuesday, was hungry, so decided to give this place a try. It being on the campus of Washington and Lee University (there, I said it), I felt by far the oldest person here, because indeed I was. They have dine in and takeout, but no delivery abd do have limited outdoor seating. No free wifi unless you're a W&L student. The selection is large enough, but not huge. I was waited upon promptly and courteously by the manager who actually acknowledged me and told me he'd be right with me. I ordered an accident smoothie and an avacado salad, neither of which quite filled me, but both of which were quite tasty and healthy, so I didn't feel like I just coated by arteries with superglue. All dining packaging was compostable, so I wasn't ridden with guilt. If on subsequent visits to Lexington my #1 place is closed, I'll come back here!“

“Waitresses went above and beyond to help me retrieve my car keys out of a cubby hole in my car. Also the best waitresses I have had there. Was in there around 7pm Wednesday night. I'm sorry I didn't get thier names but one girl had blonde hair and the other girl had curly hair put up in afro puffs. Great “

“If you have never tried the Waffle House it's a downhome experience you have to make time to try. It reminds me of the great diners of the 50s and 60s. The folks who work here are great. The meals are good hearty food made how you want and served quickly. I would recommend trying this great American diner.“
