“The BEST Mexican food truck in the area! It is super authentic and always fresh. The food is amazing but in particular they’re made to order tamales. You have to contact the owners wife and get a minimum of 12 either chicken, pork, or rajas but trust me it’s worth it!“

“Very Good prices and delicious food. I never write reviews so this place is that good in my opinion :)“
“Pupusas were excellent. Kids enjoyed the tacos too. Enchiladas not spicy. The guacamole was surprisingly underseasoned but the chips were fresh and crispy. We added salt and fared well. The atmosphere is more of an adult atmosphere-- full bar, sports, pool tables, etc. You can tell it's for nightlife. But for lunch it was fine w kids. All of us were amazingly full esp for the price. Worth a stop.“

“Good tacos and great pupusas (fresh, fast, handmade when you order) at this hispanic bar & grill. No crowd at noon on a Saturday when we visited. Waitress says they're busiest around 10pm on Fri & Sat nights for music, dancing & karaoke. We'll go back!“

“I’ve been coming to Xela’s for over 7 years & it’s honestly one of my favorite spots . Everything is always quick , fresh , and made with so much care . It’s definitely a hidden gem - Don’t sleep on it just because ‘kabob’ is in the name - they have amazing Salvadoran food 😅
Their pupusas are amazing and the Salvadoran-style enchiladas are a must-try . This place never misses and the staff is always so kind and welcoming . Highly recommend if you’re looking for consistently great food !“

“Favorite Salvadorean cuisine. My favorite meal is the "yuca con chicharrón," which is fried yucca root and pork crackling (rinds). This also includes shredded cabbage in the center as a side. I recommend reheating in an oven for better taste and texture. My second favorite meal is the chicken sandwich, which includes fries. It's about 8", has some lettuce and mayo in it. Pretty tasty. Same as above for reheating. My favorite sides are red beans or "pupusa revuelta." Pupusas are probably a transliteration of "pupus" or "pu-pu platters," which are similar to "tapas." These are bite-sized entrees or platters, but in this case, it is a fried, corn meal, pancake-like item similar to a 'tamal' in that it is corn-based, but it is flat and round and filled with either cheese, beans, or a combination of both (revuelta).Lastly, no meal comes with a drink included, but you can choose soft drinks, water, beer, coconut water, "horchata" or "jugo de marañón" (cashew juice). Horchata is the name of several kinds of beverages, made of ground almonds, sesame seeds, rice, barley, tigernuts, or melon seeds (in this case, it's a powdered mix). Jugo de marañon is cashew juice, a light sweet juice somewhat similar to guava juice and almond milk combined.Prices are very, very reasonable as is the quality of food. However, I cannot guarantee the best customer service. This does not deter my 5-star rating because I enjoy the food, not the people.Lastly, there is music videos or live fútbol (soccer) usually playing on about 3-4 TVs. There is a restroom for men and women, bit the women's restroom requires a key, which you obtain from the counter up front. They also sell pastries of central American style.“

“I recently visited Emily's Snow Cones & Fruit located at 7708 Backlick Rd in Springfield, VA and had a fantastic experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm and friendly smiles from the staff.Firstly, the variety of flavors offered at Emily's Snow Cones & Fruit was truly impressive. They had an extensive menu that catered to all tastes and preferences. Whether you're a fan of classic flavors like cherry and blue raspberry or prefer more exotic options like mango or cotton candy, there is something for everyone here. The quality of the snow cones was exceptional. They were perfectly shaved, resulting in a fluffy and refreshing treat that was incredibly satisfying on a hot summer day. Each cone was generously topped with a flavorful syrup that added just the right amount of sweetness. What made my visit even more enjoyable was the beautiful outdoor seating area. It was clean, well-maintained, and provided a comfortable space to sit and enjoy my snow cone. The colorful umbrellas and vibrant decor added a fun and lively atmosphere to the overall experience.Lastly, I cannot praise the staff enough for their exceptional customer service. They were attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure that my visit was pleasant. The staff members were eager to offer recommendations based on my flavor preferences and made sure that I had everything I needed.Overall, my visit to Emily's Snow Cones & Fruit was outstanding. The wide array of flavors, high-quality snow cones, inviting outdoor seating area, and exceptional customer service make this place a must-visit for anyone craving a refreshing treat. I highly recommend stopping by and experiencing the deliciousness for yourself!“

“I enjoyed dining at this pupuseria. It was the first time I had been back since it was called the Magic Skillet years ago. Luckily, the restaurant still has all of breakfast menu items from back in the day Plus some classic Latin dishes. My friend ordered the traditional southwest omelet. I ordered a chicken pupusa, a tamal and a taco Al pastor. The pupusa was a 5/5. It was amazing! The tamal and taco were good, 4/5. My friend loved his menu choice. Prices are very fair as well. We’ll definitely be back.“

“I was visiting from Boston and wanted to support a local Latino family-owned business, so I decided to give this place a try. I ordered the chori-pollo and, for the first time, tried the Jugo de Ensalada. Both were delicious! Everything was fresh and flavorful, and the service was incredibly quick. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in town.“

“Id recommend dining in over takeout. Dine in pupusas are huge, takeout is small/regular sized. Tomato sauce is very watery, not very flavorful.
Salt level is perfect to me, service is usually fast. The tables chairs carpet could use an upgrade, very worn out/old. Plentiful parking. Bathrooms mostly clean.
Every time i do takeout, they always give me the wrong order. BUT they are more than willing to remake, for free of course. Just inconvenient when you get home and realize your pregnant wife is going to cry bc its not our order and now we have to go back and pick up hopefully our correct order.
I want to try the pollo pupusas but they say they mix in green peppers with the chicken. Idky they do that with only the pollo, i asked if it could be removed but they said no. so i only order classic pork and cheese. This time we recieved beans & cheese.“

“Thanks to a recommendation from one of our coaches in South County, we had the delightful opportunity to enjoy a delicious meal from a local home-based eatery – In Da Kitchen! It was our first time ordering, and they didn’t disappoint - it did exceeded our expectations. We savored Curry chicken, jerk chicken, and a delightful version of Yuca con Chicharron. The owners of the establishment were exceptionally friendly and made the entire ordering and pickup process a breeze. We highly recommend everyone in Lorton and beyond to give it a try!“
