“I love this place- here’s a storyA D&A StoryIn my favorite little diner today, the D&A Cafe in Martinsville, Va, I noticed a guy waiting for a table. This happens a lot at this popular little place at lunch rush and I’ve been stuck waiting before myself. I know how inconvenient it is when you only have a half and hour for lunch.I signaled him to come join me if he wanted and he was appreciative and thanked me for offering on the way to a table just cleared off for him. I guess the only possibly unusual thing about it was that this older gentleman was black and I look a lot like General Lee ?Truth is I could give two hoots in hell what color a person is and, if I can help, I’m going to help. The fellow thanked me again as he was on his way out and I didn’t think anything of it until I got to the cash register and the proprietor told me that “that other fellow you offered a seat to paid your bill for you.”Now, If that doesn’t make you feel good, I don’t know what.Thank you, Sir ❤️“
“The food and service here is excellent. The Indian food is really good, portions are generous, and orders are ready quickly. The biryani, with and without chicken, is delicious, the samosas are some of the most amazing things I have tasted, and the raita and the mint and tamarind chutnies are so good you'll want to eat them with a spoon. The only thing that hasn't been fabulous is the butter chicken. It seemed a little bland compared to how amazing the other dishes are.Overall, the food is outstanding, and we'll be back for more for sure.“
“TLDR Summary: Pretty cool place to fly in and eat. I had a fish sandwich and my co-pilot had the Club. Both were very good and very filling. Pricing was very decent as well.In-Depth -Food Quality: My fish sandwich was very big and filling, and pretty tasty. Definitely not the best out there but it was pretty good for inland food. My side salad was also very good and a decent size.Atmosphere: You get to watch aircraft take off and land while eating your meal, so it's hard to loose there. The inside was very clean and shared space with the FBO. Nothing fancy but it will suffice for a cute date or a quick and interesting meal with your wife.Service: Service was great and attentive. No complaints there.Random Note: Their tea is suuuuper sweet. I recommend at least half-and-half.“
