“We had never tried Afghani food before, and I am so glad we did. The staff was so friendly and helpful with any questions we had. They recommended the Mini Taste of Arocostia for our first time. Everything was FANTASTIC!!! The food was cooked perfectly. The service was great! We never had to ask to have our beverages filled up, because they were already on top of it before we had to ask. They packed all our leftovers into boxes for us for our way home. We will definitely be going back!“

“We ( Maqaame-Ibrahim Mosque) had a great experience with Tasty Grills and Catering during the month of Ramadan. They provided catering for the Mosque twice a week, serving around 40 people weekly, and also handled a large iftar event for 100 people at the end of Ramadan—serving approximately 220 people in total.

Their service was consistently excellent, the food was delicious, and everything was well-organized. The quality and taste truly stood out, and they maintained a high standard throughout.

“I enjoyed the chicken and lamb combo plate. It came with massive amounts of rice and a clay oven backed bread. Loved it. The atmosphere was 3 stars for me due to the crowdedness of the layout. Too many tables and hence too many people in an open area. Also took awhile to get our food. Paid over $20 per person.“

“Everything was amazing! I especially enjoyed their lamb shank, so tender and juicy, perfect with the rice. The dumpling felt like a signature of theirs, and the sauce was really good. Fish of the day was cooked well but felt a bit pricey compared to their other items.

Parking can be hard to find, I went during weekday lunch hours but had to drive around the neighbour to find a street parking.“

“What a delightful experience! The food was outstanding, the service was wonderful, and late on a Sunday night we had a slow and quiet dinner - it was perfect start to finish. We had the assorted dumplings and the Afghania flight (so much food!) and every single thing had its own flavor profile and every meat was perfectly tender. So so good. Try something new and spend an evening at this wonderful restaurant!“

“In a world where customer service is scarce, this place goes above and beyond to make you feel welcomed AND appreciated. It’s not fake! It’s not forced, it’s just an amazing positive environment.
The food: phenomenal. I’ve frequented the restaurant a few times in the short time I found them and everything I’ve had is SEASONED to perfection. I’ve had the chicken, beef, and lamb kabobs. Whichever meat you prefer to eat, choose that! Cant go wrong with any of their kabobs. I had a dish with meat sauce and rice, and a few different sides. My favorite side are the potatoes. Those potatoes are made with love!
Overall, if you’re thinking about trying this place out, go for it!! If you don’t know what to try, just ask them!“

“We just celebrated our daughter's 50th birthday at Zamarod. Food was delicious. I think we had everything on the menu, which is quite extensive, and each dish was incredible. Highly recommend!!!“

“Absolutely worth the drive from Pittsburgh! We traveled all the way just to experience the food at Bonjon Rumi, and it did not disappoint. Every dish was full of authentic flavor, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. You can truly taste the quality and care put into the food.

“Their Afghan cuisine is ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY delicious! I ordered the grilled lamp chops and chicken/beef kabob platter. It came with 2 difference styled of basmati rice (plain and sessoned); alot of food and a good value! They also have a buffet. Oh and their sides spinach and chickpeas are scrumptious! I highly recommend this place...check them out!“

“I visited Timorian before when it had the previous owner, and I recently came back after the new management took over. I can honestly say there is a big difference. The new owner, Abdul Bari, and the staff were very welcoming and kind, and the customer service was excellent. The restaurant was very clean and the atmosphere felt much nicer. The food was fresh, delicious, and full of flavor. You can really tell the new management cares about quality and about their customers. I know there are older reviews from before, but the restaurant now has new ownership and truly deserves another chance. I definitely recommend people come try the food and experience the improvements themselves!“

“I tried the kabob platter at Kabul Castle Kabob and it was a great Afghan meal. The rice was fluffy and flavorful, topped with sweet carrots and raisins. The kabobs were tender and nicely grilled, especially the chicken which was juicy and well seasoned. The meal also came with fresh bread, a crispy samosa, chickpeas, sabzi, and a fresh salad, which made the plate feel complete. The portions were generous, the quality was high, and the price was very reasonable for the quantity you get. A very satisfying and authentic Afghan meal.“
