It’s going to be hard transitioning back to a typical mundane pizza restaurant after experiencing Santini’s. “I cannot recommend this place enough! The atmosphere is fantastic, the food is delicious and the staff is superb. Our entire experience was something special. My father had the table side carbonara, my husband had the braised short rib lasagna and I had the famous chicken parmigiana ala vodka. The staff paid attention to our every need and made this dining experience so enjoyable. Next time we are in the area we will be sure to come back.“

“I had the Arancini, gnocchi sardi, and olive oil cake and they were all fantastic. And while I came for food, I will say the two things I'll remember the most were 1. The fact you gave postcard with the receipt as a souvenir and one less thing I'd have to buy on my trip and 2. The service was amazing. I forget what her name is now, but my waitress came over and cleaned off the table of the two or three crumbs of truffle I had and got me new silverware for the second course. I can't think of any other restaurant I've been to where I've had service that attentive before.“

“This was our first visit to a local Italian restaurant in/at Bethesda row. Nice atmosphere. Service was very attentive.

The food was above average in general - we tried two appetizers, two main dishes and a desert.

There was a special on the menu - corn and crab agnolotti that was excellent. Zucchini appetizer was savory. The crème puff was also excellent. However, lamb shank didn’t impress.

“On vacation from RI, my husband and I and very good friends had lunch at Lily’s just this past week and we fully enjoyed experience! It was a beautiful sunny day, and we were greeted with sunny faces and a friendly, highly professional staff. We sat in the outdoor area and everything from being there to fill our water glasses and explaining the menu was covered. I highly recommend Lily’s if not just for the fact that we felt like we were at home but to top it off, the food was delicious. Try the Tropical salad and the meatball appetizer!!“

“We had an absolutely fantastic experience at this Italian gem! We opted for the experience (tasting) menu, and every course was outstanding. The Caesar salad was perfectly crisp and flavorful, the mushroom pasta was incredible, so rich, earthy, and just delicious. We added the lasagna, which was delicious and comforting, and the steak was melt-in-your-mouth tender.

My swordfish was perfectly cooked, and we finished with the Il Limone and chocolate tart (the team graciously made an exception since we didn’t want donuts), both desserts were divine.

The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely made the evening feel special. And the bar deserves its own shout-out - such a beautiful setup, creative cocktails, and a great atmosphere.

“Absolutely amazing restaurant all around. Starting with the focaccia, mock tails, & cocktails. I’m not a bread eater but i ate quite a bit of it as it was extremely delicious. For the entree, I ordered the red snapper and my husband ordered the burger and they were both equally delicious. Desert. We ordered the tiramisu and cheesecake and were both divine. Definitely recommend.“

“I had the most incredible dinner at Giovanni's Trattu! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm, welcoming, and authentically Italian. The service was impeccable, with our server being both attentive and knowledgeable.

The real star of the show, however, was the food. I ordered the Osso Buco, and it was simply divine. The veal was so tender it fell off the bone and melted in my mouth, and the rich, flavorful sauce was a perfect complement to the creamy risotto it was served on. “I came here during my lunch break on a weekday. All the pizza options were available and I got the buffalo chicken slice. I don't make that much $, but the pricing was totally worth it. ($6 I believe) The pictures don't do it justice, but if you like NY style thin crust with that grease drip, you'll love this. The crust had that dough bubble that I love, and you could hear the crunch echo throughout the cafeteria. I would love to see some gluten-light offerings in the future but for now? A quick bite for good quality? You won't be disappointed.“
