“Parking sure was easy to find for Coal Mine Coffee and Sweets!
We pulled right up to the front door and parked in a marked spot, for patrons only.
As soon as we entered, the owner greeted us warmly and quickly from the counter. She seated us in a booth, tucked away from the front door.
On the way in, we noticed bagged coffees and tumblers for sale.
It’s a cozy little cafe, with an espresso machine and kitchen to the left of the restaurant.
My husband is the one with a good eye. When he was cruising the menu, he noticed that they served a chocolate chip muffin.
He remembered how much I said I loved those back in college, so my mind was set!
Our server was the cafe owner, and she was friendly and took the time to discuss the menu with us. We appreciated her attentiveness. She walked us through the menu.
When she served my chocolate chip muffin, I was over the moon. Not only did it look the way I had hoped, it was warmed through and through! Melted chocolate chip goodness, here I come.
My husband’s brownie also boasted chocolate chips. It did not disappoint in that category. This brownie had a dense, rich texture, almost like a flourless cake.
As for our beverages, a large home brewed sweet tea was my husband’s pick. How refreshing it was! Not to overpower the chocolate muffin, I opted for a vanilla latte.
It was a smooth, creamy latte and perfect for an afternoon inside.
We enjoyed our trip to Coal Mine Coffee & Sweets! We’d like to go back and try something from the breakfast or lunch menu.
We know we’ll get a great parking spot!
Parking: Parking spots are labeled right out front of the shop. There are 4 or 5 of those. I didn't check, but I bet there is some overflow parking, since there are so many cute shops there.“
“If you brew or make espresso at home this is the place to get coffee, I love getting whole coffee beans here. I've tried beans from Lavazza and Starbucks, but the beans here are just as good or better! great crema from their espresso roast.“

“Service was fast and easy. No waiting in lines in the drive thru or anything.Not docking any stars because this was truly my fault, but I wish that they had double checked that I didn’t want any sweetener in my latte, but I did not think of the fact that I had to request it, so I got a latte with no sugar/flavor which was very different from what I was expecting. Maybe this is normal practice as I don’t visit Starbucks often, but maybe just having them double check on my order or repeat my order back and mention that I had ordered no sweetener/flavors. Definitely not their fault, but just might be nice to have them ask in the future.“

“these are some of the most friendly staff I have seen at a Dunkin or any fast food restaurant for that matter. As a returning customer so many of the employees know what im getting already which makes it such an inviting place to be at, while there can be times where the wait can be long the only reason for that is because of how understaffed they are, but honestly thats the only complaint that i have and thats out of their control, a very clean store, modern and sleek, and amazing customer service you can tell they make sure to train people on that :)“

“I LOVE great harvest! I went here as a kid and I am so excited that this location is open! The menu looks amazing! Growing up they only had bread so I'm excited to try the full menu of sandwiches! The staff is friendly and the food is great. Love that this is here!“

“Went to this place for the first time around 9:30 am on a Sunday. WE LOVED IT! Going in the menu looked delicious and it did not disappoint. Aside from the amazingggg food, service and atmosphere was just as great! Zike helped us from start to finish and was extremely professional. Zike was so helpful during the ordering process offering recommendations, answering questions, etc. My younger sister thought the gravy was too spicy for her palette and they were more than happy to help compensate and make the moment right. we appreciate their kindness so much and wish we could’ve tipped!!! (they don’t receive tips though) Atmosphere is so genuine; fresh squeezed orange juice, fresh and clean ingredients, open view of kitchen and everything made in house, specialty and brewed coffee options, and fast casual service. Saw many different people: families, couples, and people independently reading or working while enjoying the food and coffee. We will definitely be back and on another note it seems like a great workplace and community spot!!“

“I enjoy supporting Katerco as a small business plus their mission of helping diversability associates. The food truck has great menu options, and they are always kind and prompt in their service.
I have also started purchasing their bagged coffee to make at home. It is the best bagged coffee I’ve had after testing local options. You can purchase online or at the food truck.
